Look, let's put this to rest now. Literally no one on this board regularly believed that this would happen and NONE of the insiders on the board indicated that anything like this was a possibility. Come on. Did people believe that guys would likely enter the portal from PSU and Iowa? Yes, of course. Did that happen? Yes.

Yea he was piss drunk ran from the cops and got caught , broke the cops watch , body cam and ear piece wrestling with him , apparently his troubles getting off bottom extend to the offseason bc he could not get away from this cop

Video shows the cops were up 4-0 as they got 3 for a last second takedown and 1 for fleeing. Too dark to see if there were any swipes for backs...
He crashed and totaled an electric scooter into a parked car during the season and hurt his knee , a lot of psu fans say that’s why he hit a rough patch in the middle of the season ,heard rumors he may have been drinking that night
Not talking about Braden specifically but for all of us athletes that prioritized sport above college life we were afforded maybe one night a week or one night a month of drinking depending on your weight and goals situation. When you did drink it usually went about as well as you thought and you often ended up letting out all that angst. Certain teams were more destructive of property than others but its hard to control. Now if Braden has a pattern that's something different but I give athletes a break at times because I know the sacrifice and sometimes it went over the line (fine line).
Not necessarily. Most people do dumb shit in college because it’s their first time in life on their own and there’s pretty much no real rules.

His best shot to start is if, for some reason, LL decides to RS… or if Blaze RS and he beats at Nagao at 141.. kinda wild how 2 both 5th place finishers might not be able to start.. Davis does have a RS tho.
Hooks was saying him NOT making the lineup will not help (with this potential issue). As to @SCNJ Yes, kids will be kids. One incident raises some eyebrows, but psufan fan reports another suspected incident mid-season which might have caused the knee injury. If true, that's two known times. How many others went unknown? What Bill says is possible.

Davis in my opinion is better than Nagao and let's see Ono wrestle a folkstyle match before people think he can beat an AA. Before this incident I thought Davis would take a redshirt, so that is still a possibility.

Yeah either way, one or two 5th place finishers might not have a spot.. Nagao shoulda just stayed in Minn. He might never make the starting lineup again at PSU.
Guess Sammy to 157 and no spot for Gabe Arnold.
Still think Iowa shoulda taken notes on Nebraska’s 2nd place playbook of sucking everyone down a weight.. Caliendo coulda won a title at 157.. doubtful at 165.
Another possibility could be RS Bailey, Sammy goes 141, and Iowa could continue w operation suck down a weight, Nebraska 2nd place playbook, starting w 157 Caliendo.
Never woulda really thought Iowa woulda had two former RU wrestlers in their lineup somehow lol.

How does he still have eligibility? Are they giving out medical RS for being unable to make weight now?
He is applying for a med RS the year he spent at Oklahoma state , only wrestled 7 matches , he is still uncertain if he ll get it he’s waiting on word from the ncaa
He first applies to the Big10 conference for the hardship waiver. If they deny it he can appeal to the NCAA's Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement. They can approve exceptions to the written rules "based on circumstances that may warrant relief from the application of the legislated waiver criteria."
If I had to guess, I would say the conference denies the request because it is outside of the legislated criteria, and so kicks the can over to the NCAA to decide.
Yeah tbh I’ll be surprised if he tries to make 141 again… he has a big frame for his weight..
It actually makes most sense if he just went 149 again and Jordan William tries and goes 157.. wrestle off and other goes up. They are both familiar w each other from okie state.. both are probably very close.
He wrestled in multiple semesters in 2024. No shot he gets another medical redshirt.
