Sanders was the man, but this was a team effort!!!!
Pike can coach, folks. This team could have lost faith after losing seven in a row, but we hung tough and it paid off. Love the traps we were pulling out today, as well.

Gettys, Freeman and Johnson all stepped up compared to their previous games but the offense was clearly riding Sanders. He was the man. As I said in my thread, the 3 RUtgers strengths...defense, coaching, Sanders won us this game

Watching this game today is why I am such a big fan of college basketball.Sanders in the last couple league games really has shown his brillance by carrying the team on his back.Today he added the 8-10' pull up jump shot to his offensive game..Nebraska is a hard luck team losing two straight games on the last play of the game which just shows how difficult it is to win league games.Rutgers was 5 points down with 90 seconds to go in the game.Freeman making 2 foul shots was critical to the victory along with the two baskets by Sanders.The RAC was loud and Pikiell encouraged the fans to cheer.

Winning this game was so important because it gave the team a reason to believe that league games can be won with hard work and resilience.This team has a very small margin for error because of the lack of scorers.It will take similar circumstances to todays game to win future games.I just wish Johnson and Willams could make at least five 3 pointers a game.
