Looking at the stats, the special teams comparison may be close although some of our numbers are skewed by Grant's performance prior to injury. Their field goal kicker Griffin Oakes is having a tough year. He's got a big leg but is only 11-17 on FG kicks and has missed at some distances that one would think it would have been easy for him to make.

On punts, Gideon averages about 4 yds./punt better than Cintron.

Their kickoff coverage is about 6 yards on average better than Rutgers. Indiana does have 19 touchbacks compared to our 3. They score more often, thus, have more kickoffs, however, that's a large discrepancy. Why can't we kick the ball deep or out of the end zone?
