Think he might be interested ? Or is he waiting for bill to retire?
We would get to keep Ben too !!

Why would he leave the NFL for a job where he would get no support from the administration?

If we were to change coaches, Rhule would be my top realistic choice.

Why would anyone who wins a Super Bowl want to downgrade and coach Rutgers? Think guys or stop trolling.

I am still wondering why R offense loks nothing like the Pats offense. I could see if we played similar style and play calls and did not execute well... But Pats are heavily pass-first. You'd think the brothers would have similar styles.. Like the Ryan brothers on defense.

This offense looks a loot like the Steelers with their run-first bunch formations. I actually don't mind it, but the key is you need to take some deep shots to keep the defense from keying on the run and short passes.

we are not heavily pass first because Laviano needs the run to setup the pass. He can't pass longer than 7yds consistently when pressured. However he's the better manager in the huddle.

I would argue there's nothing to set up: OSU was already keeping their safeties up and the front seven were already keying on the run.

We needed to take shots deep and never took them.

We didn't take them because Laviano has a slow windup and release. By the time he did that he would be pressured by the OSU DL and likely sacked. So he sticks with the short passing.

I haven't the stomach to rewatch the game, but if I have time later, I'll see how often we employed the following to slow down the rush:
  • max protection
  • screen
  • draw
  • move pocket
From what I remember, I don't remember much of any of that going on. When Laviano did scramble, it looked like it was because the pocket collapsed as opposed to a designed roll out. For example, on his completion to Carroo down the sideline, he drops straight back and rolls left. Who designs a roll to the left for a right handed QB?
