How does having a couple of Day 3 draft picks (Cole, Washington, Austin) & a bunch of UDFAs equate to middle of the pack in the Big Ten East? Especially when the depth chart is going to take a hit with potential suspensions or dismissals due to this credit card fraud investigation.

Austin is projected as 2nd round provided he is healthy.

Look at the teams with 4 draft picks on this list. Pretty much every one of them were ranked at one point last year.

That's great but seriously none of that relates to RU's situation and your premise that this team should finish middle of the pack with "possible" NFL talent.

A lot has to go right quickly for that to occur but with unproven OL & DL, most likely an inexperienced QB, WRs who need to emerge in real games, and potential depth issues due to potential suspensions or dismissals I think it's an unrealistic expectation.

The 2014 team had 14 players that made NFL rosters (practice squads to starters).

The 2014 team was middle of the pack B1G.

You are satirizing the OP post.. which is fine.. but you did it in such a way as to doubt a specific players abilities even before they have taken a snap... in addition to a general negative comment about the possibility that some players might be good enough to leave early.

That was never the intention - I was being factious towards those who have designated Artur Sitkowski as an All-Big 10 QB before he's taken a single snap. I have no doubt the kid's gonna be good, better than we've seen in quite a while, but let 'em take a snap, settle in behind center, face some competition before piling the fate of RU football on his shoulders.

I would never denigrate any of our players.
