Answer: Only the first time. After America's first intercollegiate football game on November 6, 1869, Rutgers and Princeton never met on any November 6th ever again. The 17 years between the 2004 and 2021 games are the largest in history.

Rutgers is 7-14-0 on the anniversary of intercollegiate football but 6-2-0 at home. The 1948 game was the only Homecoming Game. The 1883 game vs. Yale (eventual National Champs that season) was the first intercollegiate contest ever played in Brooklyn and also the worst loss in Rutgers history.
