How many tix are you renewing next year?

This is a good post to send to
Bob barchi

If scarlet nation people, the strongest diehards, talk 10-20 cut back...what will the mile manner fan do?

Prediction
Coaching change will keep season tickets flat ...especially if it is Greg or someone we are excited about

Keep flood...lose 3 to 5 million in revenue next year and mkre the next

You invest the money now in a coach...you keep even and maybe grow revenue in years 2 and 3

Even the BOG and barchi understands this

If there is ever a time to speak load and strong...it is now. Out voice carries enough collective dollars to merit good change and not a change done on the cheap

Exactly. Barchi should start every day with an email box on the verge of exploding from message from angry fans and alums. Leadership is not more arrests than wins.

Regardless of how this season finishes, the writing is on the wall to almost everyone. Ticket sales will take a hit next year, even if we get a new coach.

This is the first year that everyone at my tailgate and/or the tailgate's around me have told me they think Flood will be fired. It's almost unanimous.

Renew my 2 in section 128 but drop parking. Extremely displeased with RU's parking manipulation. Next year if it is status quo is when I make the jump to drop the tickets as well.

I am ahead of the curve I guess. I did not renew my 4 tickets for this year and I was very frank with the ticket sales rep as to why. Quoted exactly: "I will not renew my tickets while Flood is the coach". I said the same exact thing when they call me for donations.

If we do get a new coach then I will be purchasing 4 tickets. Your move Julie...

A rare NYCB sighting. So how's your blood pressure these days?
[cheers]

some of us have been fans for 50 years and very big givers--giving up one's seats as a statement is childish and counter productive in my mind and I'm sure those doing so will still be posting and bitching on here as usual--without the advantage of seeing game in person or supporting the team

Great, so this is your answer to a 35 year season ticket holder, 40 year fan and major contributer to the new Fred Hill Center?
Because I'm so fed up with KF, and my stance is I refuse to renew if he remains, I'm considered fat, and please don't post here any more?
This is what the administration should be most concerned about. This and what others like vkj and 5781 are saying. I'm starting to move toward the indifference phase. I spent most of last Saturday's game running errands with the game on in the background. Mercifully, tick-or-treaters started coming toward the end of the game and my dog went nuts which distracted me from the ugly end. It's just not entertaining to watch (like basketball). I am hanging in there for now, but I can't blame others for bailing. It's a tremendous investment of time and money.

LOL. OK.

Most people have standards. The fraud and failure lovers, aka the Floodies/blue sky/5%, + the Michigan and TTFP fans who will be the majority in the stadium with Flood as HC, are not enough to keep the rinky dink, acadamic fraud, criminal laden program the Flood/Barchi/Towers crew supports.

Who is going to buy tickets for this? There are other local teams- even the Mets and Jets now actually seem committed to winning. High school games. Barbecue in your backyard. The Hunt. Apple picking.

The list of cost effective options are boundless, and all superior to watching players who don't have a chance due to poor coaching get dominated by programs who care, with fans who will fill our stadium and embarrass us in every way.

Hahahaha The Hunt as alternative entertainment... Nice joke, bro.

And weren't you the guy earlier who talked sh*t on people because they get excited about a glorified barbecue in the lots that you say they could just host in their backyard without spending the $$$???

You never fail to mention what a supposed high-roller you are. So why don't you use your influence to help get this fixed?

There is no "advantage" to seeing a Flood coached team in person. Didn't you hear Carly Fiorina, you can watch videos of abortions online.

I will always support the players. If Flood is not fired, that will be a huge middle finger to me and the rest of our fans, who not only value winning but a clean program with student-athletes who do right on and off the field.

And my response to that middle finger will be to take my money and give to businesses which appreciate my business and have real values. Penny pinching and blind support are not values.

He's a failure embracer. He thinks being a real fan means supporting academic fraud and criminality.

We could use more fans who are proud to give large sums of money to the program instead of guys who like to complain about large givers.

I didn't renew my 4 this season. It was a combination of a newborn at home and just not having the same level of excitement as I did in past seasons. In hindsight I have been enjoying my Saturdays at home much more then I would have at the stadium.

Lol. It wasn't me that had the blood pressure tested. It was a good friend of mine and his wife (both are pharmacists).
Well anyway, it's nice to see you posting again. Your love-life stories have made for some of the more entertaining OT threads on this board.

Will stay at 2, but only because I love my seat location and want to keep it for when things get better. This just isn't enjoyable at all right now and my enthusiasm is completely gone.

the more appropriate question to ask RU fans would be more simple...

If Kyle Flood is retained as coach, would your financial investment to all things Rutgers:

a) increase
b) decrease
c) stay the same

Giving up my seats if Flood remains is hardly a statement for me. My decision is purely selfish and based on the fact I cant watch a Flood coached team any more, as easy as that.
The last thing it would be is childish, it's a decision based on lack of enjoyment and missing my kids games to watch something that's annoying.

This thread gives me hope. If the RU admin isn't reading this they're just flat out stupid. Flood has to go. The people that post here are die-hard fans. The other 95% that hold season tickets must feel the same way and if Flood is back We'll have 10k less in the stands next year at least. That's money. I drive 7 hrs each way to home games and won't do it next year to watch a guaranteed loser with Flood running it further into the ground.

shill you are a "fan?" with a big, complaining mouth whose constant bitching and criticism of RU really does little to help RU's position and yes, I give a lot and often, and am happy to do so if we win or lose ,and hope you do too but I know that's not probable --you types seem to just love to bitch and not make real contributions to the cause--and this should be said often on here because $ matters not 15000 posts about what's wrong with RU

15000 posts in 14 years isn't ridiculous actually. But thanks for the lecture, boss. your deeper pockets doesn't make you a better fan, board cop. So with all due respect take the quotes you put around that word and shove it up your backside. M-Kay?

As an objective observer Shill is a shining example of the negative, yet apparently unavoidable, dark side of the world of sports fandom.

and of course a simple but legit question becomes more of a thread of personal attack and folks pulling out their peckers to see who's is bigger. grow the frack up people. You have NO RIGHT to judge each other or to tell them how they are supposed to feel or what they should be doing.

If you don't think Rutgers Football is a mess, then just read this whole thread and see what the state of our unity is (or isn't).

Wow
This is pretty dumb.

Hypothetically, if Flood is the coach for the next 10 years, and he continues to embarass us and let's say wins 3 games per year EVERY year, and the admin does nothing to make a change, you will continue to be happy as a pig in mud and keep on donating the same amount of $ and will not push the admin to make a coaching change?

Is that correct?

Everyone has their breaking point.
Yours is probably much higher than most.
But everyone has their breaking point.

Please don't get on people's case who have reached their breaking point.

It took me a long time to get there, but I finally gave in.
Time for a change.

I will watch the games the rest of this season, but with very little optimism or enthusiasm.

If I knew for a fact we were hiring a new coach next year, my enthusiasm would immediately shoot through the roof because I know RUTGERS has tremendous potential, and eventually, we will make our mark again, and I think it can be for the long haul.

But not with this guy.

Have 4 and plan to renew. I can never make all the games but I want to support the program. For parking I will tell them black or silver or I'll just buy by the game.

We need more fans like you...Really!
So calling out a poster who is still going to the games but going buy SOLD TICKETS TO RUTGERS isn't a fan. Really?! How one purchases tickets to go to the games now qualifies to IF one is a fan. And I suppose those sitting in the sections just left and right of mid-field are less of the fans sitting at the fifty. Do I have that right? Exactly how is that? Please expand..
