Control-freak, couldn't beat W. Virgina, couldn't win weak Big East, more WTF games than you can shake a stick at.

I'm setting up an online petition and a gofundme campaign to fire him. Also don't be surprised to see a plane flying over the stadium w/a "Fire Schiano" banner at today's game.

Way to go, Sunshine.

Sign me up for extra tickets. Schiano can't get here fast enough.

Unbelievable, game day morning and all this "calm one" (yeah right) can spew is this crap, spend your money on therapy, not banner planes

Schiano is not my first choice, but I would be ok with this hire because he can improve now that he has the B1G conference to sell to future recruits. He probably will end up keeping most of this class and may even flip one or two NJ top 15 recruits as well.

I like schiano. While we did not win our conference out right under him, he did take us from dead last to very respectable. We are not close to being respectable right now. He can come back and either deliver in a few years or we have B1G $ to get bigger name. Also with schiano being in place can take time to get AD if needed.

Also best case, at 5-7 Barchi imposes self bowl ban sanction for this year instead of NCAA hitting us with one next year for Flood's drug-gate.

Love the Schiano hire (if it happens). I will buy more tickets and increase my donation.

I would think the Big would have something to say about a self bowl ban since they share bowl money, no?

Maybe, but it could be now or more $ later... For once get in front of something. Give up a potential bowl when we have losing record compared to one that could matter next year.

8-5 in 2007.

This team had a Jr Mike Teel, Ray Rice, Kenny Britt, Underwood, Tim Brown, an upperclassmen offensive line and a Freshman Anthony Davis.

On defense both McCourty twins, George Johnson, Eric Foster, Renkhart, Courtney Greene, Malast, Munoz.

I think Schiano lovers have selective memories on his time here. Yes hes better than what we currently have but I would only take him back if brought the entire Wannstache Pitt staff with him and kept his hands off the offense.

You're really gonna liquidate your 401k so you can afford the banner?

"8-5 in 2007."

With 3 losses by less than a touchdown. Remember those days? When RU would at least compete with teams in its division. West Virginia finished #6 in 2007. Cincy finished #17 and UCONN at #25. People can knock the Big East but that was during a pretty solid period of time. WV beat #3 Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. Cincy beat Western Michigan in International Bowl. UCONN lost their bowl game. The win in 2007 against USF was probably the biggest win in RU football history (I think they were ranked #2 or #3). So, it wasn't the worst year of all time.

Schiano would NOT be my first choice, but anyone that thinks he isn't 100 times better than what we currently have is crazy.

Who knows? Maybe Julie has hunted around and NO ONE wants this job? Maybe Greg doesn't either.

Was mildone always this much of an attention whore, or is it a recent phenomenon?
Because everybody that starts a new thread on an internet forum is seeking to remain quietly in the background? LOL

C'mon, Bob, I know you're smarter than that. The "attention whore" responses are among the dumbest things regularly repeated in internet forums.

I will start buying season tickets again with anyone but Flood.

I guess Mildew didn't get the response he wanted.

If Schiano is hired, I would buy season tickets and donate them out (I live in Florida). Maybe not the best coach out there, but better generally then what this forum believes, and a way big upgrade over the current situation.

You should've stuck w/unbelievable, numbnuts. I'm not cancelling my tix if Flood stays or goes, if Schiano comes or not. In fact, regardless (<-- put that in just for you) of what happens, I'm not cancelling my season tix.

You may be without regard, but you've got plenty of gullibility to make up for it.

Not my first choice, but we could do worse. I still don't think he wants to come back here, but we'll see

And people like you forget that we stumbled at times with Greg- but he's the reason we even had players of this caliber. He's an amazing recruiter and we need that more than ever right now. If you hope to have a chance to get players like Britt, McCourty, Rice etc. - you should want Greg back in charge.

I don't think he'd want to come back either. And, TBH, I don't really want him back. But he'd be a vast improvement over the current situation.

My preference would be to have RU spend $10M for the new staff and do it right. My next preference would be for one of the up-and-comers we've been talking about here for the past few weeks (one with a winning record please).

Schiano would be an improvement for sure, and I was a Schiano fan when he was here. But I don't think he's the answer to competing successfully in the Big Ten East.

Also people falsely remember landing NJ top 10 recruits. That didn't happen until Hafley came on board years after 2006. So for Greg to recruit effectively he had to rely on Pasqualoni getting fired and the entire Pitt staff getting let go. I don't want to totally knock down the pedestal he is held on, just lower it a little bit.
