I would rather not get back together with the old GF, it never seems to work out that great. Zero outright BE titles, Zero BCS bowls, Zero wins over WVU. That was playing in a weak BE conference, the year UConn won the conference they lost to Temple by more than 10 points. As noted above, his recruiting of top NJ prospects in reality was not as great as some seem to remember. He was also tended to be very stubborn and never gave a straight answer. Yes, he resurrected the program and made it respectable, but he never took it to the next level year in and year out.
