Piscataway has always been the Lourdes of visiting college athletes. And it remains so.

He’s going to play. Maybe not 35 minutes but hard to fathom he won’t play a major role in this game.

If the injury wasn't as bad as many thought, why take this chance anyway?
He would probably try to protect his knee and that can lead to some other injury. Baffling.

Won’t be in the game thread today but I feel if we make the line up combination changes we’ve beaten to death and keep Geo and Paul off ayo we will be fine and the RAC will get us back on track.

the other Illinois players in their preview interviews certainly made it sound like he would sit out. When Underwood was asked yesterday if he had practiced at all this past week he immediately commented “no” but then seemed to walk it back by saying “he’s done some stuff”. I’d be surprised if they risk playing him. Kid is NBA talent, why risk it. But it makes sense to keep Pike guessing until tip off.

How effective is he likely to be if he plays today? Do Montez and Young get the defensive assignments on him?

Could be a time to play GB and JY together, forcing Ayo to guard one or the other.

Dosunmu shouldn't rush back. Too much money on the line for him and Illinois should want to make sure he's ready for post season.

If he does play for some reason, which I doubt, attack him early and make him work on D

You can play with a wrapped ankle but if you don't have confidence in your knee the only thing you can do is shoot.

Spread is RU -4.5 believe that is reflective of the betting market thinking he’s NOT playing. Think spread would be more like RU -1 if he was playing

If he was playing wouldn’t Illinois be a bigger favorite and RU would get more points on betting line?

RU is favorite by 4.5 think If he was playing it could be close to even spread

Agree. We have been struggling. This spread implies Vegas thinks he is out

Seen it before. I think his pride was hurt more than anything for screwing up the game winning shot.

    He's fine.

    No.

Haslametrics and Massey both had us winning by 4 before the injury.

Illinois has lost 3 straight, including 2 at home.

Ever since Joe Theisman got hurt on Monday night football, I don't watch injury replays.

That one made my skin crawl - this was nowhere near that bad, lol, but his leg definitely bent in a way that wasn't normal.

I saw it once at normal stuff and i agree.

The Theisman one I was in a bar with guys after playing hoops and i was facing a tv and they must have shown it 25 times (not exaggerating as they were in it's showing off the technology) from every angle. Yes skin crawling.

Whether he plays or not, we need to harass him or his replacement. He probably cannot trust that leg.. his replacement will have less experience.. it will result in opportunities for steals.

I am watching Texas Tech at Ok State and OK State guard Likele is very opportunistic on steals.. I think Young and Mathis should have a look at his tricks..

tech rebounded and the rebounder looked to quickly move upcourt with a first dribble.. which was harder than normal for the big first step... it was like Likele KNEW that was coming and he cust cut across his path instead of running back on D and took the ball.. pretty sweet steal.
