I guess I didn't realize what a huge hole losing MT would leave in our D. But man, we were gassed in the 4th QTR and got gashed badly in the run game. We also had some serious pass coverage breakdowns where a more accurate QB would have converted those opportunities into TDs. I saw a couple of times the VT WRs got behind our D and it was just luck (or poor QB) that those opportunities didn't turn into TDs.
What's going on with our D? Is this just a maturation process with young LBs and DBs, a quality depth issue, or is there something more concerning here? We just seem to have taken a step back, at least in the 2nd half. And some of these issues were apparent in the first 2 games, and against a better opponent, they just appear more glaring.
