what an awful last possession by Monmouth..what were they thinking..hold off on annointing King Rice anything. Monmouth now will sweat it out and they are right on the bubble exactly..will be last 2 in or last 2 out

Just gojng to ask you bac on if they are in or out

That was a bad bad possession for sure

I think they are in...going to be close

That Monmouth team plays their butts off. Very intense.

King Rice will have a big job soon, if not this year. He can coach

Can't blame Rice....Justin Robinson - who is a great player - was awful tonight - and had a major brain fart at the end....I feel awful for them...I root for Monmouth...great bunch of kids and very close knit team

its going to be close. You have Wichita State and Gonzaga/St Marys out there as midmajors right near the bubble. They dont have the wins this year but they have had the history. Monmouth has some good wins but also some bad losses. This is going to go either way. They are going to sweat it out. Its 50/50 and its going to be jubilation on Sunday or heartache.

They will need some A10 and AAC schools as well as Michigan and Florida to not make deep runs in their conference tournaments

I just posted my analysis which did not include the outcome of that game...I will numbers crunch tonight to see where Monmouth lands

Not impressed with that Monmouth player down the stretch..on that last possession and on a bunch of airballs he threw up.

Tech call on Josh James with 4 minutes to go in a tie game was AWFUL and Tilghman can't miss 2 FT's with 2 minutes to go......funny thing is that Hornbeak who has been a major disappointment and chucker was amazing tonight...too bad the rest of the team couldn't support him...

Could see a Hofstra vs Monmouth Opening Round NIT Game....at Monmouth......hope not.....but MU is going to sweat it out this week for sure.......makes me have a big vested interest for sure on Selection Sunday....

Like to see them screw some big team, like a UCONN. Or keep out Oregon State.

if they do get in...expect them to play Syracuse or UConn in the first four in the David and Goliath matchup

personally I think that Wichita State is the better team and can do more damage

Definitely would like to see Oregon State kept out. Their non-NCAA streak is a year longer than ours.

Oregon State deserves to go...they have no loss outside the top 100, they are 11-11 vs the top 100 and have 5 top 50 wins...Oregon, Colorado, California, Utah, Arizona and also beat Tulsa. Their strength of schedule is rated 11th.

I think the seeding for Iona is going to be 13 most likely so you may get your wish. I just think their defense will not be good enough to handle a Big 10 offense like Iowa or Maryland if those teams are on.

Yale and Oregon State will break long tournament droughts this year, and I predict Norhwestern will do it next year.

Sigh

That may have been the worst 3-point down 15+ to go possession I've ever seen.

Monmouth will get in and their bench will be what pushes them over the top. It's good for ratings.

As an MU alum, last night was tough to watch. Praying we get in but it's going to be real close. Lunardi has us still as a 10/11 seed supposedly. We will see on Sunday.

Agree - can't call a T there unless it's something over the top, and it wasn't.

Justin Robinson 100% choke job. He also passed on open shot/drive with about a minute left in game, didn't make any sense.
English didn't shoot well, but he sure seems calm and collective at ALL times. couple big shots and assist in last five minutes.

King Rice and company made a mistake, in my opinion, to not set off the ball screens to get the ball in Robinson's hands. Not necessarily as a scorer. Maybe part was on Robinson not working hard enough to move off the ball. He seemed to just accept that the defense was going to deny him the ball.
