Lost opener to a good FAU team 18-5. Friday night pitching?

Women's hoops lost 10 point halftime lead to Northwestern and were eliminated from B1G tourney. Apparently , injuries were a factor and of course the all- knowing howl about the officiating. Their resume dies not warrant an invite to the NCAA tournament. . The HOF coach continues her steady decline to irrelevancy. Refs don't respect her and the younger coaches out there are onto her game. Her wonderful career is being sullied by mediocrity.


Let!s hope the wrestlers can rescue an awful winter- spring sports season by closing out their year with some individual accolades.

Your statements about the women's team not warranting an NCAA invite are ignorant. Look up how many teams with their RPI get left out of the tourney. You will be hard pressed to find many negative affirmations.

I've seen several of the games this year. The pitching, other than Brey - who is pitching very well - as one can tell from the runs we give up - is extremely thin and we have absolutely no power hitting. We've made a bunch of errors and we simply don't make big plays on D like we used to. This negative trend for the team will likely continue until the facilities are upgraded (e.g. the practice facility that they are trying to raise funds for - though based on other proposed fund-raising projects for RU sports, my guess is that this will take a while as we continue to lack big donors for sports) since now that we're in the B1G the gap between our facilities and those of our conference opponents is getting wider.
