Isaiah Johnson needs to play

There is a reason why Lewis was beaten out by freshmen at South Carolina. He is small, slow and not instinctive.

Longa 19 tackes, Gause 15 tackels, Lewis 4 tackles against OSU.

Lewis has not been the LBer that many on this board hoped he would be. When the middle Linebacker averages 3 unassisted tackles per game he does not make the defense better.

Johnson was a playmaker in spring ball and should get on the field.

I haven't been impressed with Lewis in any of our games. The fact that he's still out there to me doesn't indicate that the coaches don't wanna win or are idiots. It probably means that we don't have any quality lbs besides Gause and Longa.

Um, he was debateably our best defensive player our first few games. Hes currently not playing at 100%.. Not sure what u guys watched, but he was legit absent the last two games.

#50 and #3 are our best defensive players....#14 isn't even close.
And besides, at this point in the season which players ARE at 100% ?

Reading comprehension is your friend....I said WAS debateably our best defensive player the first few games. He certainly wasn't a slouch out there to start the season. Like I said, he's hurt which would most likely explain the drop off. I jist found it weird that he was getting called out to be replaced. And I would agree with you that guase and longa have been out two best over the last few games.

One thing i do know is Longa is an absolute animal. Thank God he's a junior because we're going to need him badly next year.

Wish Longa was about 10 lbs heavier and ran lower. He has solid instincts and a knack for getting to the hole, but I've seen him get absolutely blown up on more than a handful of plays.
