Not sure you're joking or not but in case you aren't....I guess you don't realize that was someone making a joke at another poster's expense. One poster proposed team meeting/pep talk to cure our FT shooting woes and another came up with the Jake - Eugene pep talk thing to explain Eugene's big game against WIsconsin.
So it was "fake"..okay...thanks. Regardless CONGRATS to Jake!
I thought this might be the case when he was at half court before the Wisconsin with Mike Williams meeting the refs.
If you're too young to have seen Jake's dad, he could toss them in from The Corner Confectionary in Highland Park.
I’m pretty sure everyone who roots for Jake saw his dad. I did. His senior year was s great time, and he was a 40% shooter from 3. But this also explains why so much attention is paid on these boards to a walk on who doesn’t play.
Dont think this affects his minutes. Hes been there prob working his butt off in practice and encompasses the attitude they want throughout the program. Good for him and good gesture on Pike.

Exactly what is lol about someone being named captain? Don't get why anyone would feel the need to make fun of such an honor.
I thought the timing of this was interesting.....just prior to the much needed Wisky game and I kinda felt like he was also sending a bit of a message to the two other guys....and frankly the whole team..which seems to have worked in seeing a different effort/approach from a few. Glad for him. Hope he gets some minutes too.
