More fodder for the Yankees haters. James Franklin threw out the first pitch at Yankees Stadium. No doubt a congratulatory toss as the coach of the winning team at the Pinstripe Bowl. Also, I've been told that "Ohio State Night" is on this year's calendar, too. We can't forget that George Steinbrenner spent an undefeated season on the Ohio State football staff of Woody Hayes.

The toss was apparently a fastball right down the middle, commented by many Yank's to be the best ceremonial pitch they had ever seen. Ken Singleton, Yankee announcer, said he met with Coach Franklin before the game and had his picture taken with him. Singleton said he sent the photo to his daughter -- who just happens to go to Penn State. Let's go Mets!

I did find it amazing that nj.com ran a story about this in their Rutgers Football section. The word Rutgers is not even in the article.

They get called out on it and don't respond. And they wonder why Rutgers fans don't buy their paper or go to their website.

Patric, don't you know Joe would throw a 105 mph fastball right down the middle? He's perfect at that too

Yep the Yanks are holding an Ohio St night with Meyer throwing out the first pitch. How cool. Quick when is the date for Rutgers night in Cleveland?

I don't remember Brian Kelly throwing out any pitch when they beat us a couple years ago???????
