Jan. 29, 2003‬ = Down goes Melo

One of my greatest RAC memories! I was a freshman behind the band under the basket and tried to storm the court. Security rejected me bc no one followed lol. Ahhh the memories!

It was my 4 year wedding anniversary and my beautiful bride agreed to go to the game with me in lieu of a fancy dinner. Yet another reason that I knew that I chose wisely. In the 25+ years as a season ticket holder, it is still one of my favorite RAC memories.

Gary Waters was the coach that year, wasn't he? Was that the year of the run to the NIT final?

Thanks.

Waters was indeed the coach, but this was the year before the NIT finals. The year of the NIT finals--2004--Herve hit a very similar 3 against a top 25 Providence team.

It was an unbelievable game to be at, but way too damn long ago! Let's hope Pike can return the RAC to glory.

I remember being at that game. I thought the student section bleachers were going to collapse below us. So good!

Stay tuned from more from the BK video archive!

Very happy to help RU share these great memories with everyone...they deserve another look!

Is there any way to get a copy of this game in full? It was my favorite memory growing up

Almost was good was the return game at Cuse in March.

Kareem Wright could not miss anything in front of a crowd of 33,000 people. 20 point game for a guy that regularly scored 4-5. I think we held a 5 point lead with just a few minutes to play before Carmelo turned into Carmelo and we got our butts handed to us.

I was at the Dome for that one. At the time it was the largest crowd ever for an on campus game. Woulda coulda shoulda....We played well enough to win at times considering the game meant nothing for us
