It’s kinda a BS article . Van gundy is talking out of his ass saying once we had success in the Atlantic 10 we moved to the big east . And once we had solid footing in the big east we moved to big ten . That’s all BS . We stunk the last few years in the a-10 and we really stunk In the big east . I guess people don’t care about facts.
I remember that he was the last hired for the staff. The negative reactions among the RU community were astounding – – nobody seemed to want him. But pretty soon, he he became the most respected staff member among the players.
I don't think it's BS as much as it is simply sugarcoating the situation. He didn't want to come right out and say we sucked and made some awful coaching hires.
I loved this article. I always liked Jeff and still do.

Met Jeff years ago (after he left the Knicks) when we were both having breakfast at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Nicest guy, he was very interested in talking about Rutgers. Great coach and great analyst too.
