Minnesota has the full share of Big Ten money pouring in and new faculties coming soon.

Rutgers is still trying to barely get by on Big East level funding, and few big money donors.

After 2021... all bets are off. But for now, this year... it has to be Minnesota

I'm willing to let the results play out, but there is no question that she is very fortunate to have been chosen for such a big role from her previous role. Outside of Rutgers, which has a unique set of hiring criteria, no school would entrust such an important role to someone who has never done it before.

So, what's everyone's opinion? Better job: Rutgers or Minnesota?

I'm a Badger fan currently living in the Twin Cities (formerly in Lansing, thus the username). Minnesota suffers from what a lot of universities in metro areas do - more interest/attention for the pro teams and a history as somewhat of a commuter school (though they've made efforts to make it more college-y). Kill did a good job in bringing them back to respectability from the disastrous Tim Brewster era, but Glen Mason was 64-57 when they let him go, so it's not like they've never been at this level. They've been frankly awful for almost 50 years with a few 5-3 conference years sprinkled in - these count for most gopher fans' "glory years".

I'm much less knowledgeable about RU. But I know Schiano had some success and that the recruiting area seems pretty fertile (UW has had some good NJ players for sure). I think the ceiling therefore is higher at RU.
