Jersey Players

I will always push my kids to Rutgers. Except for 1. I told 1 kid not to go to Rutgers and he is currently having a very solid season at a high level school.
Well hopefully there were good reasons to push him away from Rutgers except for the last recruiting staff. But hopefully you like what Coach Ash is doing and what he can offer your kids who can play at this level.

Ash and staff have done a good job of getting kids excited about Rutgers football and have done a great job of interacting with kids and coaches.

I felt my player needed to not be near certain elements in NJ. His mothers agreed and they made the decision to go out of state. He was not pursued heavily by flood but he was by Ash. One of those moments where being a life long Rutgers fan had to take a back seat.

I was watching the Penn State, Ohio State game this weekend and I couldn't help but think what the State of the Program would be if any coach could ever keep NJ players home. Noah Brown, Blacknall, Gesecki, two of the Penn State linebackers, Sickles, etc. are all New Jersey players. Penn State isn't a great football team but they have the talent to hang with the big boys. A lot of their talent is ripped from our backyard. Hopefully Ash and co could get some of these guys to stay. Schiano was on that track before he left.
jersey kids always opted to leave the state, nothing will change, the big crowds and all the hoopla at the other schools leaves us as the bridesmaides in most of the best jersey players. i blame new jersey for not being able to fill a 52K stadium against the best teams in the country

Can we stop over analyzing about the Jersey kids. At this time in our development we need to get players where ever they are. Ask yourself, would 2006 have happened without the Florida kids.
