Jonathan Taylor decomits

I've not seen this level of butt hurt on the bwi board...then again we haven't had many decommits of late...and a majority of the negative comments are regarding ND and Michigan because they flip out recruits and then tell them they don't have room once they recruit other 5 star kids...if you can show me some posts where posters are calling kids selfish and telling them to "f off" I'll certainly take back my words
Uhhh, Yea, OK. Thanks for coming up for a breath, but I think you might want to find that pile of sand to stick your head back into. See you next year.

P.S. Incase you've missed it. We Landed On the Moon. I know it's hard to believe, but it's true I tell you.

The only one I recall is the kicker last year that flipped to MeatChicken but only because he made that silly video getting off the plane
Sandusky, Paterno, sanctions, B1G conspiracy against PSU...I rarely visit your board (so I'm sure there are plenty more examples) but I have already read a lifetime worth of 'classy' posts over there so while there are definitely embarrassing posts in this thread by RU fans, we sure as hell don't need you lecturing us about it while acting as if BWI is some sanctuary from message board nonsense.

I say, let's just move on and recruit another kid. No one really ever knows how these kids are going to turn out at the next level. Lets wish him the best and move on.

you know what this program needs, a diamond in the rough hey Brian Leonard, Ray Rice or Kenny Britt. One or two impact players who could change things completely around for us.

Awesome! And so it begins. Barkley redux? This staff needs to start showing it knows what it is doing. It also has to start winning winnable Big 10 games. We run the risk of having no running backs in the next class right now. Taylor sounds like a big loss to this class.

You obviously no very, very little of our current recruiting situation. I strongly suggest you sit back and relax. Things are more than "well" right now with this class. Everyone has decommits these days - literally everyone - even OSU just lost a 4-star QB (from Ohio) to Kentucky. Expect a few, which is fine, just gotta find the right replacements.

All the Jersey raised PSU players can tell you exactly why they chose NOT to attend RU while committing to a school then still under sanctions while they are putting a whipping on Rutgers in a few weeks, I'll come up for air to be at HPSS that night for sure...and I can tell you that our loyal classy fan base is one reason

"classy"? LOL, okay, now that's a funny one!

Loyal? Sure. No Big Ten team would call PSU fans classy. Sorry.

Seriously I can't stop laughing at this....can't remember I heard the terms "classy" and "(State Penn) fan base" in the same sentence....thanks I needed a good laugh this week!

Ash said "the players you want to be here are staying. They will be here next year". To me that's

Jonathan Lewis
Bo Melton
Micah Clark
Mike Tverdov
Bryce Watts
Tyshon Fogg
Sam Vretman
Owen Bowles
Johanne Duggan
Everett Wormley

Those seem to be the core group who are "all in" and are impact players at positions of need. Taylor has been wavering since before the season even started.

Ash gave NJ kids top priority. If they give up their spot, we will likely look out of state to MD (Darrington), FL (Trace Christian/Darian Felix), GA (Holsten), OH (Warren), etc. And most importantly, I'm confident Ash's contingency won't be FCS level players. We will sign players of similar ability. Not really worried.

I understand, Rutgers didn't play a game this week, the rest of the country had one less Bottom 10 pillow fight if the week nominee to laugh at

So you are saying you other 8 commits are worthless and their commitments in the end mean nothing? You've said yourself the commits and their parents read these boards, you sure you want to put down your other 8 commits like that?

Wow...that honestly may have been the single WORST comeback in message board history...well done cultist!
That fact that you responded to it tells me that it was worth a reply so it couldn't be that bad...Nuts you are normally one of the more reasonable posters on here...surprised by your recent piling on of the same
Old narrative, The losing must be starting to get to you

No, not at all, actually. I knew 3 years ago this season - and next - were going to suck (thanks to the moron who was our former HC) lol...Ask anybody here many of us saw this coming all along.
I'm just stating something I'm way too familiar with living in NJ, in an area with a good # of PSU alumni, and having been to plenty of athletic events between the 2 schools: for the most part your fan base, especially the NJ grads or grads living in NJ/NYC area, are far, far, far from being "classy" in my years of co-existence and attendance at games/matches/ etc.

No offense meant to you, personally, but it is what it is sometimes.

Don't put words in my mouth buddy. Never said that. Some of our recruits are doing a fair amount of recruiting themselves. Just like PSU had a core that stayed when O'Brien got there.

Man some of you PSU people are plain miserable scum.

This dumbass probably lives in Jersey somewhere and probably a neighbor of one of us.

This is the type of mindset that pervades NJ. RU could beat State Penn by 1 pt and lose by a 100 pts to every other remaining opponent this season and to me it will be a successful RU season.

GO RU

Amazing how cocky PSU fans are now...when's the last time they won something significant? They have no chance to win Big 10 again....I gues their standards are low lately they pat themselves on back for 7 point win over Temple or OT win against Minn

I don't wish Taylor ill. Also don't wish him any luck over his career anymore than any other random college football player. He's just a guy.

It would be nice if people stopped obsessively pining over players at other schools that at some point were connected to Rutgers. They did their thing we do ours.

So glad Ash has no NJ ties. It matters for nothing. The NJ coaches, players, and families are all so against sending there kids to the state university. I cannot believe the lack of state pride. As soon as a better offer comes, they run out of the state. It will never change! The top NJ talent wants to get out and fast. History has proven this and no matter who is coaching (besides a saban, etc), it won't change. Ash needs to use his recruiting ties outside of NJ, or look to JUCO to build a quick winning team. Sad situation in this state!

As of today we've got the #'s 3, 6, 13, 18, 24, 27, 29, 30, 32, 34 players from New Jersey (Rivals). Probably missed a couple, too, and there are more on the way. In Year 1.

Also, from what I can tell #'s 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10, and plenty of other Top 40 NJ kids, are still undecided. Some kids are going to leave, just like they leave Ohio, Florida, California, and other states. We just, obviously, have more to deal with due to a # of things but, as of now, I'm not so sure your post holds water with Ash and Co.

You could not be more wrong. That's the reason Rutgers is in this mess. What the program needs is steady and continuous year over year improvement in recruiting rankings.

You put your own words Out there by listing the 11 recruits that are apparently the only recruits that matter stating "these are the recruits ash was referring to..." I'm just inferring what a reasonable outside person would take from that statement...btw it's easy to cherry pick the 11 highest rated recruits right? I thought stars don't matter? Also though jersey football is overrated?

Yes I do, Mercer county raised, Morris county residing...Hudson county working...and I'm proud to say there are a Lot more PSU flags and car stickers in Morris county than RU stickers and flags...

That would be 2008 when we won the B1G conference championship and went to the Rose Bowl, finishing ranked #8 followed by a second #8 ranked finish in 2009

IMHO you're BOTH right. We must continue to build strong, and better (see: deeper) classes, HOWEVER, the "diamond in the rough" here-and-there is OKAY! The problem with Flood's classes, as several of us (including Bobby D) TRIED to tell this board, over-and-over-again, is that you can't BUILD A CLASS filled with these types or, dare I say, "hidden gems." THAT is how Flood failed, miserably, and destroyed the roster.

No this program needs DEPTH. It needs to be 3-4 deep at every position with legit B1G talent. Where the next 2 backups behind the starter can come in and play with little to no drop off. Not some 4-5 star "savior" being backed up by a bunch of projects who aren't ready to see the field. THAT IS where this program went off the rails.

I live in Morris county...plenty of RU support up here. Is there a lot of PSU support too? Absolutely. The 2 co-exist.

Maybe I extended the core somewhat. It's really Melton, Clark, Wormley, Watts & Tverdov who are acting as the voice of this class within the state. Yes three of those players are legacies but sometimes a new coach needs a break or two to get things jumpstarted, no? But yes we are happy to have ALL commits on board. And you're not a Syracuse fan so I don't think you will be tweeting all the kids whose names I omitted telling them to look at this thread. PSU fans are crazy but they aren't desperate.

Im not one of those crazy fans that follow recruits on twitter, nor have a ever tweeted...the craziest people are those "fans" that actually tweet at recruits anything more than congratulations

Ha, I'm sure we can trust you to have taken the definitive count. Are you having fun trolling today?
I've only counted stickers in the Morristown train station parking garage waiting for my train to work, then I extrapolated to include all of NJ...is that not right?
