Joyner Scores School Record on Beam in Gymnastics Home Opener

Rutgers gymnastics returned to the RAC for its 2020 home opener on Saturday, finishing second in the quad meet with a score of 194.550. Freshman Hannah Joyner produced a school record on beam with a 9.925 to highlight top performances by the Scarlet Knights.

The team looked pretty good and the attendance was decent for a snowy day with most of the lower section full and some others in the upper section. Minnesota killed it though especially on the beam with one girl getting a perfect 10 and I think their lowest score on the beam was around a 9.85. If you haven't been to an RU gymnastics meet before, you should get there some time as it's a good way to get out of the house and do something on crappy days.
