shame..not that I condone drinking and driving but "just over .08" probably isn't that hard to do. But he shouldn't have put himself in that position. 1 week late is right. (not that it would have really mattered that much IMO)

He's also not 21 so .08 means nothing. Less than a week after Urban does his media tour in NY talking about leadership, the types of kids he recruits, accountability, and holding his kids to a higher standard. Will be interesting to see how he handles this.

anyway Barrett is a total idiot for doing this especially in season. Meyer will have to suspend him for a period of time at least. All of these college kids don't realize how good they have it
Yeah. I don' know about Ohio but if you're under 21 in NJ, any reading at all has stiff consequences.

he is suspended for next week vs Minnesota at least. The policy at OSU is 2 week suspension. It will be up to Urban Meyer if it will be more.
He will be suspended till Nov 14th they don't need him, then you can see who they play. Everyone will be happy with the two week suspension it's their policy and he will be back just in time for their next tough game. Which is just fine for his offense and comes at an opportune time for Ohio st.
So Carroo get "accused" of something that turns out to be dropped...suspended 3 games.

you are kidding me right, having an accusation of slamming a girl to the ground is a serious charge. Flood and RU did the right thing there until the situation got resolved. Don't try to downplay the uncertainty with that situation plus it came on the heels of players getting arrested.
OSU has a two week policy. In light of his book tour, I bet you Meyer extends the suspension
Take coaches books with a grain of salt. Pitino was paid millions for books and speeches talking about perseverance and not quitting when the going gets tough. Yet as soon as that happened in Boston, he ran for the Hills.

To make the apples to apples comparison, if this happens at RU, the local media would be screaming for him to be kicked out of school.
If they should stumble and bumble to wins their next two games under Cardale Jones all we will hear about is our nightmare of a game we had against them. We'll hear how under JT Barrett how the offense rolled over Rutgers and ran great. Then we'll get the snide comments about how yea well it is just Rutgers after all. I thought that game would die off in my memory, but now I can see the talking heads bring it back up over and over for the next three weeks. O what joy:(

There is a 2 game policy if it is the felony OVI
First offense in Ohio under .15 BAC (Barrett reportedly was at 0.9) is a misdemeanor
The 2 game policy does not apply here for those reasons
It is up to the coach/ad in this situation
I would be surprised if it was more than 1 game

I just saw on the scroll that Gene Smith their AD said it doesn't fall under their 2 week policy because it was charged as a misdemeanor.
who is defending OSU and Meyer here in this thread, show me where I did that. I actually defended RU and Flood in this thread saying they did the right thing with Caroo.
