So folks, did a little researching on Nigel Johnson, our transfer from KS. Turns out in HS he had a game against former first round draft pick Andrew Wiggins and his team just lost by a couple of points. Wiggins guarded Nigel Johnson and vice verse. Johnson ended up with 19 points and Wiggins 21.

As athletic as Sanders is, Johnson looks to be a very valuable backup point guard in two years. Seems to be a special player. Where Sanders will tantalize people with ball handling and passing and scoring, Johnson can pass and had a great 3 pt shot in HS. Also turns the ball over very little.

At 6 1 I could see him being a great backup guard to Sanders, or maybe him and Sanders will even go at it for first spot or run together. Nonetheless, Johnson will help considerably here on the banks. I like how our guards are shaping up. I think we see Jgoode at backup pg this year. Who knows, though.

Look out for Johnson in two years. I think he will valuable asset for us.

Definitely. I like our guards this year and two years. Really think this Johnson kid will produce well for us. I think Williams could guard bigger kids. It's a guards league these days. Two years a lineup of Sanders, Johnson, Williams,Freeman, and Diallo sounds pretty good to me against some teams. Or Sanders, Williams,Laurent,Freeman, Diallo with Johnson first off the bench. Should be fun..

Hopefully, you will be able to add Kwe Parker to the mix.

And Ahmed. KP would be nice, but I'd be just as happy with Ahmed. Our team would be so versatile.

Interestingly, if Parker commits it will increase the interest of Bah. Right now St. John's is the clear front runner for Bah. He does like Rutgers, however, and the location reasonably close to home is a positive. Concerns about our ability to compete with high level teams would subside if we can add Parker.

No doubt. Have you seen him play? What do you think?

Yes. In my view Bah would be the best player on the team if he came here. He can play the 1, 2, and 3 equally well. A long shot to get him, but not out of the question.

Yes. In my view if Bah came to RU he would be the best player on the team. He can play three positions equally well.

The 247 sports guys now have him a Rutgers lean. Now if only Kwe would read that site ......

Hopefully Sheridan sees the writing on the wall and starts looking for another school. If we get a few of these kids he has no future here. Never ever thought he'd be recruited over.

Nigel can flat play. Saw him workout the other day. Quick, confident, nice jumper. Only downer is his size...6'1 may be optimistic.

I'm excited to have him in the mix!

Bk, kind of sounds like a Myles Mack kind of player. Smaller, good amount of grit, has a long ball, etc.
