I’m still in the 17-19 win range. I think everything has to go right to get to 19 but anything in my range would be acceptable to me.

Feeling we will do better than 5-13 and 15-16....

Minimum I see is reversing our 14-17 regular season record to 17-14....

A few of my early benchpoints.....

Will we start 6-0. kenpom says it is about a 50/50 chance

Will we win by 20+ in 4 of the 5 1st games? Playing teams ranked in 300s a win is not a win. Want to see dominance

Do we get 1 of 3 of 3 consecutive games starting in a little over a month from now....FSU, @minny, Mich St

Looking at 15 home wins and 2 away, regular season. Get one win in the tourney for 18 total.

Btw, strange to see two B1G games in the middle of our OOC schedule.

I think we win 15-17 games. Corey stays next year + Carter, Kiss, Montez and another year for Duke well skies the limit

I think the major takeaway from this information....if you take it on face value.

Although we are on the bottom we are in a group on the bottom (RU, Ill, Neb, Ohio State) and not far from the next tier (really only Indiana) who is really close to the next tier who are NCAA hopefuls.

If I were to look at this I think....
Wisconsin---they are overrating
Purdue--they are underrating
Maryland--they are underrating
Iowa---they are underating

not sure what to think about Penn State, most will think they are overrating

They have in NCAAs
3-Mich state
5-Purdue
5-Northwestern
8-Wisconsin
8-Michigan
9-Minnesota
10-Penn State
11-Maryland

NIT
Iowa
Indiana

Removing some of the details from the conference list to make this a little easier to read...

10 Michigan State (x2)
17 Purdue (x2)
18 Northwestern
31 Wisconsin
32 Michigan
36 Minnesota
40 PA State
48 Maryland
51 Iowa
65 Indiana
78 Ohio State (x2)
98 Nebraska (x2)
104 Illinois (x2)
125 Rutgers

3 teams in the Top 25, 8 in the Top 50 (with Iowa just outside at 51).

A lot of change for us in the offseason, so hard to get a bead from a preseason prediction perspective - hoping we surprise a few teams.

Take a look at the Big 12. If kenpom is right there could be 8 or 9 out of 10 in NCAAs

Also they have St. John's decent

KenPom vs. Maryland fans, the college basketball rivalry that nobody talks about. But in all seriousness, having PSU over MD is pretty ridiculous.

They have you the same as PSU. In fairness to kenpom, they have you guys about the same as last year offensively and defensively despite no Trimble. They are assuming the improvement in the young guys offsets Trimble leaving. I actually think you will be better this year.

On to Penn State....they are assuming a decent jump both offensively and defensively. They have them 19th in the country in defensive efficiency. I have a tough time believing that one. I am VERY bullish on Penn State's talent. If they mesh and Chambers can coach I can easily see them equaling or better the kenpom estimates. Carr and Watkins are very good.
