Gentlemen,
Please present your best and final offers.
Yep. That's what time it is. $$$
Gentlemen,
Please present your best and final offers.
Lol, it's called math. If a player has 10 offers, 90% of coaches recruiting that player "fail"Fail reply
He got a good one then whiffed on the last 3
Is it simply weak NIL?
Yeah, but we're going to part of that 90% with the NIL albatross.Lol, it's called math. If a player has 10 offers, 90% of coaches recruiting that player "fail"
The vast majority of players a coach recruits do not commit. It's just the nature of recruiting
Lol is right. Pike get the best recruit in RUs history in Griffiths and fans are asking why Pike is missing? Ugh.Lol, it's called math. If a player has 10 offers, 90% of coaches recruiting that player "fail"

But blaming NIL is so easy. You’re going to make people work hard to figure out who to blame next because someone or something needs the blame. Just enjoying the games is not an option.I am begging people to stop blaming the NIL boogeyman for losing recruits to Iowa and Washington State. Does this look like a recruiting class bought with NIL money? It's the brother of a current player and three other guys outside the top 150.

It seems like much of what people think about NIL in basketball is overblown. Most big money NIL deals will not come for HS recruits other than the proverbial can’t miss prospect, in basketball probably a top 50 -100 prospect ( top 100 may be a stretch). The big money NIL offers will be for those proven quantities in the portal. So much easier to evaluate a proven player, for fit, talent, and program need. Plus they are generally going to be plug and play, no redshirt or development needed, just learn the system and go.
This is even more true for football, where you also have physical growth and strength to factor into development.
This is going to lead to a lot of 3rd party tampering, you are already starting to see this, Schiano at the beginning of the yr. reference two RU players that had been “informally” contacted.
If you look at the current RU freshman hoops class none of the three would have been offered NIL deals, looking at the Iowa class probably no NIL money traded hands here either.
NIL is going to be an ugly problem but just not we’re most people think
Except that Richard already said that this was a NIL deal and we lost him to Iowa because they have NIL to give while we have excuses and opinions.I am begging people to stop blaming the NIL boogeyman for losing recruits to Iowa and Washington State. It was a Seton Hall fan asking to be fair.Lol is right. Pike get the best recruit in RUs history in Griffiths and fans are asking why Pike is missing? Ugh.
Richie is, in my opinion, wrong about this or he got bad info. Iowa's NIL collective is exactly what KTR is: money for existing student athletes. This isn't some SEC school throwing money at a prospect. Go on their message board and you'll find the exact same complaints as here: That the school isn't involved and that not enough people are donating.Except that Richard already said that this was a NIL deal and we lost him to Iowa because they have NIL to give while we have excuses and opinions.
This - but it’s probably morphing more than people think into being about prospect for NIL following frosh year. Part of that will be about trends - what kind of NIL deal does a frosh that averages 10 ppg and 6 boards on an NCAA team get to stick around? Some schools will have more resources to pay returning stars than others. But on the other hand - as the player coming in, you want to be sure that you’ll get enough PT to give you the opportunity to build NIL worth over your frosh (and maybe sophomore) years. There’s always the transfer portal, but without production, that’s likely another year without collecting NIL.Richie is, in my opinion, wrong about this or he got bad info. Well then his name should be dumbeleHey everyone, go look at the Iowa board and see what they're blaming the Eastern Illinois loss on: they're upset that Fran didn't bring in any transfers and are bemoaning the fact they didn't have the NIL money to be players in that market. So if they didn't have the NIL money for a transfer to help immediately I'm pretty sure they weren't throwing bags at this guy.
