Laurent commits to Rutgers!!!

How many P5 offers did he have?
Who else was recruiting him?
Is he a B1G level player?
Did Danny or Bobby recruit him? If not, why do we want him ?

Ruman....let's get your input.....lol

When comparing him to a recent loss of Etou, i think Laurent has a higher ceiling and will be more of an impact for us.

Good stuff, Staff. .

Welcome news....don't know that we have to kill Etou's character in this post, or even compare to Etou to Laurent especially when we haven't seen him play

Don't know much about him so I'm trusting that it's great news?!?

Good shot, too. Will be a bigger plus than Etou.

Good stuff Staff.
How do you know that? Go to church with both of them

Glad Laurent's here - thats enough

3 star and have no problem with this commit. Welcome jonathan!

Glad he's coming - no need to be negative

But do not pretend this changes the program - a lot of work to do

And that's hoping no more defections.

No, but we do have a year that just passed. I am just saying we might be getting better here. That was my fault for the wording. I shouldn't have brought down Etou.

You didn't attack Etou- you merely said you thought Laurent had a higher upside. Nothing wrong with that.

I really like Etou. For whatever reason he didn't progress this year. I think that is on the coaching staff as well.

I wish Jr. well wherever he goes.

Section, i corrected my post but at first i did said a higher character kid than Etou. That was my fault. I do think highly of Laurent though.Dp is a good academic/athletic school.

Laurent had some great games this year. Looks to have a nice fundamental shot and high motor.

Ruman of course not, Williams and Foreman need to get better and work on their game over the summer. Foreman needs to get in the weight room.

Not a bad passer, either

The one thing our team needs most is mcdonalds buffet right next to the RAC. We have some decent players for next year, but they all need to gain a good 10-15 pounds. Laurent could use 10-15 to be effective at BIG level.

You may click the link below to see Jonathan's Rivals.com profile page. I'm about to add the Rutgers commitment. You can also read the last write-up I did on him on March 13th when Rutgers offered him.

Glad your big enough to admit a mistake, kudos for that.
Sounds like a good pick-up

Good Get. I thought ETOU was a lot better than most of the board says. We need a lot more . The OKORO transfer is good for our program. I wish him the best but he was not a factor for us.

Welcome aboard Jonathan. I think this is a good pickup. One thing I like about him is he seems to drive to the basket quite often. I liked Etou but he seemed to love to take jumpers and rarely drove hard to the basket. He was a very good rebounder so hopefully somehow we can make up for that. One other thing is that Laurent and Sanders both play in Orlando. I wonder if they ever practice together or know each other well. Hopefully we can get Minlend or Ellison. Someone mentioned maybe we could add a point guard with the 3rd scholarship. I would still like Otis Livingston as a backup point guard but I doubt that will ever happen.

Dr Phillips has been known more for its baseball program--do the names, Johnny Damon and AJ Pierzynski ring a bell? But Shane Larkin, now with the Knicks, went there, as well. Dr Phillips has been the best school for sports in the Orlando area almost since it was founded, back in the late 80's.

I ALMOST FORGOT WHAT POSITIVE NEWS FELT LIKE ! WELCOME TO THE BANKS JONATHAN !

Welcome to Rutgers

I dont think Higgins has a thing to apologize regarding Etou. I wasnt a fan from the getgo. Odds are very good any one of our new recruits doesnt sulk, disappear during games and can manage more than 2 pts most games.,,,oh,,and might not transfer.

Is he a 3 or 4 man?
He is a very typical wing-very fast, very agile. He is an ok long shooter, not great. Very very good handle, almost guard like. He is not big enough to bang in the paint like a prototypical 4. If your offense likes to run he can sore in bunches.

WELCOME TO THE BANKS JONATHAN!!!!

I've said this multiple times so i apologize for those that have read it. Laurent had one of the best games he had all year against one of the best high school teams in the country. Is a slasher but can hit an outside shot decently well. Has a good release, not too low and almost on the high side. With 10-15 pounds, he will be a 20+ guy next year.

Happy about this signing. Seems to be a smart kid. Next year will be interesting. I think Diallo could play a 4-5 but would have issues guarding a 4. Might be better off giving laurent minutes at the 3, foreman at the 4(15 pounds) and lewis at the five.

I smell some depth for next year. Good stuff.

Safe to say they know each other fairly well.

Soundcrib/everybody else- Go to .30 of that video sound crib just posted. Sanders bounces a free throw off the rim himself and dunks it.

Too funny.
