Awful our fans booing any player

I will never do it

But...to waive it on coming back on the field?

Team leader?

The boos come with being a division I Qb everywhere

If I was coach...I would take him out the next play and tell him to watch the game next to me

But that attitude starts from the head coach and what he allows his players to do...

That may have helped to seal floods fate. That shows a team out of control. Suspensions, arrests, coach suspended, and our QB egging out the fan base.

Goodnight sweet prince. He's a goner.

Agree...Your head should be so focused on what is happening, NONE of that shit should effect you. Another thing..I noticed why Carroo is his favorite target..Because he knows how to do a comback route, as he knows they will all be underthrown.

GS would have talked to him immediately (as would most competent coaches).

Mike teel and Gary nova got booed more than this guy ever did and took it is part of being Qb at a major division one school

This guy isn't a leader of my team pulling that crap if I'm coach...

And I have never booed a single player wearing Rutgers uniform in almost 40 years

I thought that the people who booed were not booing Laviano but instead were booing Flood for putting him back in just one play after he sustained enough of an injury to delay the game. The only other boos heard during the game were for the Flood commercial on the jumbo-tron.

But like many here, I don't boo our players. I don't even boo coaches. But I will boo the refs when I think they are biased or make bonehead calls.

Shack. Disagree. No one should ever deal with that at home. So wrong on many levels. forgettung the human element...why do something that hurts your teams chance of winning.

As said in other places they were booing Flood...

Many have wanted to see more Rettig and Laviano was down for minutes....to see one handoff
and then out was more of a frustrated response to Flood...and he was told what most of the
fanbase thinks of him during the PSA...no doubt on that one

All that said we have a highly ticked off group of paying fans...the booing and their checkbooks
are all they have to send a message...

I will summarized my thoughts on what happened:

Flood's handling of the Laviano vs. Rettig quarterback competition during this season was atrocious.
Laviano go absolutely leveled on that initial play. There was zero justification for letting Laviano come back in to play after sitting out only one snap. Verification that the starting quarterback was not injured, letting Rettig maintain continuity for the rest of one whole series, the fact that both quarterbacks merely handed off the the ball, I can keep spitting out reasons. The fanbase acted inappropriately in booing when Laviano came back in. And finally, Laviano was wrong in responding to, let alone inciting, the boong fans by waving his arms. Focus on the field of play and let your play speak for itself, period. Laviano is not acting like a quarterback who I want leading the Rutgers offense, nor is Flood the man I want leading us as head coach.

Wait. The kids waved his arms while a bunch of grown ass adults booed him and Laviano is the douche? That makes no f****#g sense.

I'm not a fan of booing him, but anyone over 18 is an adult in my book.

Way to throw a 19-20 year old kid under the bus, who took a hit and came back in to play, Shack. Thought you had more class. Some in this fanbase get what they deserve.

I was there and this was my take on it too. Unfortunately that is not how it likely played out to Cl or most on the sidelines.

And I can say I cared so little about the result that I never gave booing a thought. I knew what was coming. I have voiced and will voice my utter sickness of this program in other manners.

I was there too and I took it as a wise ass fan base who booed their starting QB as he sprinted back into the game. The same fans that cheered Rettig as he came into the field the play before. Cheering a player on who replaces an injured player. That's douchebaggery.

No other word for it.
It has become obvious to me over the last few weeks that there is a larger percentage of the RU fanbase that I have no use for than I once thought. Far too many d-bags.

Booing CL was both classless and ironic, considering he had a great day today. As critical as I've been of Laviano all year, I was in the stands today and hated that moment.

You guys didn't see it as a "quiet down" signal? You thought he was egging you on? Seemed to me like the exact same motion he would make on a big play to quiet the crowd and not the motion a defender uses to urge the crowd to make more noise. So many of you are absolute j*rkoffs and Laviano had a monster game today.

Umm...I did not boo the kid as I never do

And the kid was egging he crowd on for boos and not motioning for quieting down

If I'm coach, and The kid needs an an attitude adjustment for that

Kid should not be booed but you don't respond like that

Come out and just win

I felt the kid should have not responded at all and hopefully he will not let the douche bags get to him in the future.

You have never been booed in front of 20k people alongside a group of your peers in the middle of a game (where you should be emotional).

Very easy for u to say

I've been booed in front of 50,000, I makes you play tentitive and you don't want to make another mistake…most the time the opposite happens.
He should have never been subjected to it by a clueless coach, let the other guy try and make a play, this is a team, other guys have ability.

Dale,
It wasn't just the boos. It was that the boos were happening as the guy was returning to the field after getting knocked out of the game by a big hit. Clueless response by some classless fans.

i think I booed you before in strat-o-matic. I am real sorry for that.

Laviano was so bad yesterday we only scored 41 points.

Bunch of assholes in the stadium and on this board.
Doesn't matter if you meant the boos for Flood.
You booed when our QB came back out onto the field.

What are you all going to do if the new coach also decides Laviano deserves to start over Retig?

Sorry....you go out at do better...and not respond to your own fans by essentially flipping it off. His social media diatribe made it worse

Good coaching means you are focused on the here and now. Remember keep chopping???

You are assessing the situation void of emotion. The kid needs to be cut slack. No college kid should ever have to go through that.

Anyone who booed that kid is an utter disgrace. Good for Laviano waiving his arms. Motorb54 is absolutely correct. Bunch of jerkoffs in the seats and on the boards.

I've said it from day 1, Laviano has resting a**hole face. He just looks the part. He plays it quite well too.

I always thought it fair game to call out someone on how they acted but not how they were made. "You are acting like an idiot." Not- "You are an idiot." One you can change, the other not so much.
