The Nationals completely owned the Mets this year and made them look foolish for letting Murphy end up on a division rival.

Oh, I guess I also misunderstood you admitting you are crying about the Mets schedule. You know, if it was reversed and all, lol.

It's amazing just how consistently you misunderstand things. Because I say that mets fans would be crying if the situations were reversed doesn't mean that I admit to crying. I just have seen too many tears from mets fans. I know they'd be crying. No tears here.
I'm just adding a dose of reality to this bizarre thread. And you just keep posting pictures of your family. And rather than coming to grips with the fact that you root for New York's 2nd best MLB team you just keep trying to insult honest posters like me.

Mets fans have enough doom and gloom coming from their own team togive a rats ass about the Yankees. Im pretty sure 99 % of the Yankee fana dont give a rats ass about the Mets either. So i guess that makes you very (short bus) special.

Murph is not here because he commited a huge fielding gaffe in a big game. The jury is very much out on whether it was a good move, but the fact is, no one got owned. We knew he was a great hitter but if we paid him there's no Cespedes. He was also a liability on the basepaths. The Mets really don't seem to be missing him at all. He's improved the Nats for sure, but last year they were almost as snakebit with the injuries as we are now. The true measuring stick will come in the playoffs. Will he corral that roller? Run into a DP? Let's just wait and see.

Fine, you don't admit to crying, but you are.Keep family out of it low life, this is about fans of opposing teams getting in heated discussions. Just shown your true colors. A loner, that hates life, and loves to rip people that are enjoying happy times with their teams. That's why they call us fans, short for fanatics, but at least we ain't low life's bringing family into it.

Like mets fans everywhere wouldn't be crying if the situation was reversed.
And they wouldn't be buying that "you play who you play crap" either.
The Yankees have a better record than the mets right now and the only thing that might prevent us from having more wins than the mets at the end of the season is the extremely difficult schedule the Yankees have left vs. the bunch of losers left on the mets schedule....including the two teams with the worst records in MLB. Just consider yourself lucky that your team doesn't play a real schedule in a real division.
Now, let us focus on Kershaw and then the Bosux....while the mets play the Twinkies.
Good of you to admit that you're crying about it. You're really a whiny little thing.

You should be happy the Yankee schedule is like it is. They play the teams they're chasing. They don't need to depend on help.

Rough night for your closer. Shame your team gave up on the season back in July if you had one of those other closers they might have won tonight.

Who do we want to win the Giants/Cards series?
Depends upon your perspective.

If your objective is to secure home field in the wild card, you are rooting for a split, or maybe Cards 3-1. Let them knock each other off while we keep winning.

If your objective is "just get in and anything can happen", then you are rooting for the Giants to sweep. Put the Cards in the rearview mirror and lock up the second wild card.

This 1000%. Been saying it to that whiner. The management, the GM, and the fans gave up weeks ago, then caught a little lightning in a bottle with some good young players, and they got their collar up again. Told that dummy, I hope they miss the playoffs by one game because the bullpen lost a couple of big ones down the stretch.

This after our buddy sent a Thank You note to the Bosox for using their best pitcher the night before. A huge gift the Yankees threw away.

Oh, come on, it's only a game for God's sake.

The jury is out? The Mets don't miss him? No! You are totally wrong.

The Nats signing Murphy was the single best move by any MLB team this off-season, especially considering the relatively low cost. The idea that the Mets couldn't sign both Murphy and Cespedes is pure Mets PR spin. Murph's contract isn't even in the same solar system as Cespedes.

Mets not resigning Murphy as you said was a huge mistake, but come on Cepedes is a PR move? Are you crazy, have you seen his numbers, and throwing arm? The guy is 5 tool if I've ever seen one.

Nothing to say on this lucky brake, just thought I'd give you another chance. didn't think so. One way Willie.[/QUOTE]

I've been posting about the mets finishing the season with 19 games vs. the dregs of MLB. And you wanna compare THAT to missing ONE of Boston's top pitchers ?
Listen...if the mets happen to miss one of the Twinkies top pitchers.....oh wait...THEY DON'T HAVE ANY..

12 hours after the most devastating Yankee loss in 2 years, and that's all you got, really?

Devastating loss for our cross town buddies. Shame they had so many injuries to their bullpen. Oh wait, they traded them away, forgot.A little gift from, wait for it, karmatube, LMFAO.http://www.karmatube.org/videos.php?id=4650

Not to worry. I'm expecting the Yankees to do later today with Betances what the mets do when one of THEIR pitchers stink up the joint.....send him to the DL with "elbow soreness" or "a tired arm".

Actually the Mets will miss Hector Santiago. He beat the Tigers last night. He's 12-8 but was 10-4, 3.64 in Anaheim before he was traded to Minnesota. I was actually mocked when I said that the Mets should trade for this lefty starter, who may fit in pretty good right about now.

Not his fault or the Mets fault that the Twins suck.

I know i keep falling into this trap. But its a shame this Mets thread would have simply have been around only 20-25 pages long because of Mets fans complaining about Terry Collins and such. It has 20 more pages mostly because of one person and his LOOK AT ME!!!!!! IM SPECIAL!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!

Of course this works in the world of the Kardashians, Housewives, Jersey Shore goofs, and other train wrecks.

Mets already finished their series against SF and StL.

Cardinals play the Giants seven times this year, three at home and four in San Francisco. The season series is currently 2-2.

Mets played Cardinals six times. It was a 3-3 split.

Mets played the Giants seven times this series, threw times at home and four in San Fran. Mets won 4 out of 7.

Combined wins of the Padres, Diamondbacks, and Rockies (speaks to Giants division strength): 193.

Combined wins of Marlins, Phillies, and Braves: 194.

Pirates, Brewers, Reds are at 199, or an average of 2 more wins per team. Not a big difference.

The Nats signing Murphy was the single best move by any MLB team this off-season.
God, did the Nats luck out on that one. They didn't really want Murphy. He was the Nats Plan C. Ben Zobrist was Plan A and Brandon Phillips was Plan B. In fact the trade between the Nats and Reds was signed, sealed, and delivered - but Phillips exercised his no-trade rights and vetoed it. Think maybe he'd like a do-over on that one?

Looking back, it is amazing how little interest there was in Murphy. Can't kill the Mets on this one.
