Politician, your giving him way too much credit. I can think of a lot of things he'd be great at though, lol.Good job dodging the question, you'd make a great politician

Im still amazed that this guy has taken up half of this thread, which he didnt want on the Rutgers board in the first place.
Come mierda!
Hey, you were right, they were even worst than you said, lol. We'll take it, no worries.
Whoever is on the schedule, pretty sure that's how it works, but I wish it was a team trying out unproven players for next year who just came off crapping the bed. Wonder who that might be? They'll have all winter to think if they made a big enough impression to get a late season call up again. No way their coming North in April. They sucked when it mattered. Ask the youngsters the Mets have brought up, how they feel right about now? Who's NYC best MLB team?O.K.
So you're done with the Twinkies.....the worst team in MLB.
Who ya got next ?

I wish we were finishing against the Yankees instead of the Phillies. Talk about a cream puff.
Yeah...right. Change the subject Or call me names.
Aaron Blair....0-6 with a 8.23 ERA.
Go get 'em.
LOL, you say that like we got sweep, you know BoSox'ed. We split, but that was before the real pressure part of the season began, and we know who crapped the bed when it counted. All I heard leading up to the grand 4 game set with Boston was, we can't split,it won't help. We pray for a 4 game sweep, but, 3 out of 4 is a must.HAHAHAHA, yea, there was a sweep alright.Uh...you already played the Yankees four games this season. How'd that work out ?
Yea, but I thought, we all thought, it was the Yankees setting themselves up for the future with so much young talent. We've played more young kids than the Yankees. For all their talk about the future, only their catcher has any promise. No pitching to speak of, and position players? Don't make me laugh. An interesting read for Mets fans. From the end of the article:
"With injuries taking out the Mets star players, the team needed the JV squad to pull them out of the pit, and that’s exactly what the team’s depth pieces have done. This Mets team isn’t as good as last year’s Mets team, but they’ve been good enough to put themselves back in a strong position to make it to October, and they get to finish with a couple of weeks against baseball’s worst opponents.
And if they get back to October, they still have Noah Syndergaard, and he can win games by himself. If he keeps getting help from this cast of depth pieces, the Mets could be a problem for the rest of the NL in October once again."

Now, tell me who the mets are competing against this evening.....and what's the ERA of the guy starting against them tonight ?
Im hoping for a good run in the playoffs with this group of young-er pitchers Lugo, Gsellman, Ynoa, along with Syndergaard and Colon. Those guys deserve all the credit in the world for getting the Mets in this position, esp despite what some people here say, they were pitching in Las Vegas two months ago. BTW, the Mets got some help from the other LV51s like Rivera, Kelly, Reynolds, Nimmo, etc.An interesting read for Mets fans. From the end of the article:

You're just an angry old loser who has nothing better to do than troll a Mets thread. Go to Walmart and get a job as a greeter or something. You're pathetic at this point.Again, I've NEVER said that I didn't want this thread on the Rutgers football board. I've said that if you start one here you should expect non-mets fans to post their opinions...no matter how much it makes some of you cry.

Oh and the Mets have a better record that your team while missing major parts of their team for the majority of the season. $200 million just doesn't buy what it used to.
Braves always make me nervous. Still do. You forgot John Rocker. He loved the Mets and NY.
Oh snap, well said Andy. He used the "who's the best MLB team in NYC" for as long as he could, lol. We're suppose to dismiss all the injuries, but he conveniently looks past the payroll. PS. What happened to his side kick,at least he knew when the battle was lost. You're just an angry old loser who has nothing better to do than troll a Mets thread. Unfortunately, last night shouldve been one of the 50 that they shouldve won. They better get it together before 2007 and 2008 repeats.Tom Lasorda said in an interview many years ago, " Every Major League team will win 50 games, and lose 50 games. It's what you do with the remaining 62 games that make or break a season". It's not always who your playing, but when your playing them. Any MLB team can beat anyone. They all get paid to play, I take no one for granted. LGM
Or maybe it was one of the 50 the Braves were suppose to win.:grimace:Unfortunately, last night shouldve been one of the 50 that they shouldve won. They better get it together before 2007 and 2008 repeats.
Yep. Our guy threw the worst game of his career and their guy threw his best. Stuff happens.Or maybe it was one of the 50 the Braves were suppose to win.:grimace:
And Matt Kemp with a few fielding gems last night.Yep. Our guy threw the worst game of his career and their guy threw his best. Stuff happens.
What happened to the "WHO IS THE BEST TEAM IN NYC" question?
Back to topic:
The phrase "must game" is possibly the most overused in sports. But tonight's game comes close. Syndergaard vs. some dude with a 0-6 record and an ERA resembling your kid's (or grandkid's) bedtime.
Mets were 5-2 vs the ,do you know that KBEE?![]()
When he's not here, he's there working on his people skills,Lol..Yes you are like a broken record.
So who is next up for the mets ?
What "challenge" awaits them on Monday ?
Or Tampa,[roll]Shoulda stuck with the Twinkies.

Y$200 million just doesn't buy what it used to.
NY Post does a nice job on Mets coverage. Three articles up. One on d'Arnaud. One on Cespedes, who is hitting low 200's in September. And one on Bruce. Need 2 of these 3 to get at least lukewarm for the final run.Gutsy move pinch hitting for Bruce. Maybe should have done the same for D'arnaud. But he was facing a lefty who they had on the ropes so they figured they'd go with him. That at-bat was so weak.
Exactly. Mets fans kept saying their "soft schedule" would save them in September, but they just lost a home series to the NL's worst team. How'd that work out for you ?
