Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

Guess the Mets are doing the same vs their rival Braves the Yankees have done vs San Diego, Oakland, Arizona, and Minnesota this year. Ive been saying this all week this may happen. But people rather gloat about misfortunes of others than worry about their own issues.

And before you bitch about "sensative Mets fans." You have the right to be here to gloat. Just like Mets fans have the right to call you pricks.

Not down the stretch with the season on the line.
Come on. I know that you are aware that it matters WHEN you play a particular team.
No matter how you dice it no one would rather play Boston and Baltimore down the stretch than Philadelphia and Miami.

Who posted the wild card tie scenarios earlier? We may need to revisit that the way things are going for all three teams. I can see that playing out.

That would be me. Here's an abridged version.

Mets/Giants two team tie: Mets get home field.

Mets/Cards two team tie: Cards get home field.

Three team tie: Mets play at Cards. Winner gets first wild card and home field in wild card game. Loser plays Giants in SF. Winner of that game gets second wild card, loser is out.

Rockies destroying the cards. Big Bart vs another no name , Bruce benched , a must win tonight and a must win where mets get the bats going with an 8 to 2 ish kind of score

We never said it, you douche bags said it,lol.

No...you're wrong as usual.
I'm not going back and sorting through 54 pages of this thread, but it was a mets fan who said it was what was gonna save the mets. Strangely enough, it looks like a mets fan was right for once.
Keep praying for your team......Ya gotta believe.

Think back to Spring Training when Mets fans were proclaiming that the NL East was a lock and that they were in the early stages of a dynasty. Do you think ANY of them would have signed up for being 8 games behind the Nationals and barely backing into a wild card (which isn't at all assured)? Absolutely not. What a bunch of phonies.

Dude, you can call me anything you want.
You know I speak the truth......and all you got is name-calling.

Too much reality in that post. You're headed for the "ignore" list of mets fans.
They're all busy now BTW......praying for god to help them beat the Phillies so they can make the playoffs.....and then start a god-backed playoff run to the promised land.
Too funny.

How come everytime mets fans put up stats that is comparable to these claims by the zealot's, it gets ignored? Everytime mets fans ask for proof, it gets sharted on? I know I didnt say any of that BS. I know better. I know real Mets fans know better as well.

If me wanting to enjoy a mets season for a change after all these years of BS caused by the Mets themselves is a crime, then those of you who mock Mets fans can go F*** themselves. The hell Mets fans have to justify anything to Yankees fans for anything? Don't get pissed off because buying championships and steroids don't work anymore.

Oh, he got all of that one!

Trying to figure out why Plawecki didnt just take that pitch for the team. If he does go-ahead run scores. But if those two at bats by him and Rivera don't sum up this Mets offense nothing does. You just know if we're to score and win this one it'll have to be via a home run. And now Familia really has to extend himself.

Forgot to mention to those who didn't see. ......two outs bases loaded , Flawecki up....1-0 , pitch way inside and Flawecki dives out of the way , ok natural reflex, 2-0 , .150 hitter take sign right , NOOOO , he swings at a pitch in his eyes above his shoulder. He then of course ends the inning . Collins needs to go. Reliever not ready, not knowing Nimmo is faster than Bruce , admitted forgetting to pinch run for flores. Guy is lost

A Mets fan, wow, I guess that speaks for all of us,even if it was said, wow. I'd go through Yankee threads to find statements that were made that are dead wrong, but those threads have fallen off the planet.

One of the best catches I have ever seen. Usually when an outfielder takes a HR away, he is able get back to the wall and time his leap. On this one, Infante had to go into the right-center alley and leap at almost full speed. Perfectly timed. Sometimes you just gotta tip your cap.

But as has been pointed out, the game was not lost there. With better decision making and fundamental play, there would have been no need for bottom of the ninth heroics.

Dodgers up 6-2 early. Hopefully nothing will have been lost tonight, except of course an opportunity.

Wonder what Yankee fans were thinking back in Spring Training? Talk about phonies, I've never seen a Yankee fan base that so easily loses interest in their team, only to jump on their band wagon when they play well for awhile. Then talk about NEXT season{ well before spring training} I might add, before this season is even done.

Karma is tough, isn't it, Mets fans? Next year, maybe you shouldn't talk so much trash in the offseason about how great you are and then cheer when your team signs a wife-beating scumbag like Jose Reyes. Enjoy watching the playoffs on TV.
