Let's go METS 2016 thread ......Just get in and anything can happen!

Hello Mets fans, just checking in. How did the series with Atlanta go? I assume you swept them since they are 30+ games under .500, right?
Look who's back from his self induced hiding after his Yankee team tanked and the Mets were making a run. At least your side kick had the balls to go toe to toe with his broken record, borderline " One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" posts. Now that the Mets lost 3 in a row, He's Baaaack! PS. The Mets are still tied for the final 2 spots, and the Yankees are still irrelevant. How's that working out?,lol

JV fans are so insecure, love it! By the way, is typing in bold a new thing? Trying to make yourself feel more empowered?

Always knew you were watching this thread, but didn't have the balls to post when things were going bad for your clan.Empowered? Hardly need to be when talking to someone so weak that he hides. Stick around, put yourself out there, grow a pair, lol.

9 more games to see if they can win the Wild Card!

Your team seams to have lost interest in that just like the Yankee fans on this board. You gave up on your team in June. Can't even keep one Yankee thread alive so you pollute this one. Sad.

Aroldis Chapman plays for the Cubs. At least the Yankees had the good sense to obtain prospects at the deadline instead of trading them away for a bum like Jay Bruce. Why would you give up prospects to try to win a wild card and get swept by the Cubs if you're even lucky enough to make the NLDS? In addition to ruining great young arms and signing Jose Reyes, the Mets organization has been a disaster ever since the 2015 season ended.

Your team traded for him. They traded him away for prospects in a smart move. But are you going to hang your head in shame if they sign him as Free Agent? Of course not because you're a total hypocrite.
Once again, and I'm sure you'll ignore it as you have before, but what are the Mets doing any different than other teams when it comes to pitching? Pitchers all get hurt. The Mets didn't abuse these guys with long outings or extreme innings.

I bet Daniel Murphy enjoyed watching the Mets lose from the Nationals clubhouse tonight. Karma.

Your 100% correct. Of the Big 3 d-bags,he's number #1 with the other 2, a close second. Sorta like the Wild Card race,LMFAO. Eleven days left, who wins the D-Bag Trophy 2016

That's funny. A mets fan in this thread talking about hiding. Aren't almost all mets fans in this thread hiding behind the "ignore" option ? At least a few of you came out of hiding when you were barely getting by the worst team in MLB. Now that you've been swept by the second worst team in MLB I'm betting it's back to hiding for the lot of you.
BTW...... mets 80-72.....Yankees 79-72...virtually the same record.
Geez, when was the last time the mets played a contender ? I don't see any left on their schedule.
Did you guys send that Thank You note to the schedule-maker ?

What happened to the "WHO IS THE BEST TEAM IN NYC" question?

Uh....I think that question is back on the table.
mets 80-72
Yankees 79-72
The mets played one more game thus far and won it. Really, how much better is that than the Yankees record ?
I know. I know. You've got all of those games left vs. contenders while the Yankees play only teams the rest of the way that are already packing their bags for the off-season. Damn schedule-maker.

First off, I never went into hiding, and for a solid week when the Yankees were 1/2 game ahead of the Mets you were throwing out the tired line of who was NYC's best team. Well it's still the Mets at this point, so don't jump the gun so fast, lol. We are also much closer to the post season, thus capturing most of the media's attention while, like your teams fans, focusing on next season. Kudos to you for never going into hiding.

1. I think Gary Sanchez is attracting most of the attention right now.
2. Inciarte....love that guy.
3. Please. The mets have played one more game than the Yankees and won it. That really is just a very, very slight difference after 152 games. Their records are virtually identical.
4. You better pray that the Phillies don't have much left.

These 3 pussies are as bad as the circle jerkers on the current events board.

Thanks. We were all just so eager for you to contribute your words of wisdom.
One thing consistently true of mets fans throughout this thread is their name-calling. Excellent at name-calling.
And, of course, it means so much to me.
[poop][poop][poop][poop][poop][poop]

Talks of majority of Met fans going into hiding when things turn bad, really? There are 55 pages, close to 20,000 posts, and not ONE day that there hasn't been topics posted on it. You want going into HIDING? Lets talk "Here come the Yankees" thread, LMFAO!!!!! It goes weeks at a time without so much as a word until yesterday, after the Yankees semi pulled back into the race and close to the Mets record wise. The most arrogant, pop up fan base I've ever seen. Went weeks not seeing so much as a Yankee hat on the street from people I know are fans, but yesterday, they were out in full force. Can't make this $hit up, too funny really. I would compare them to Boston College fans back in the Doug Flutie days and who was the QB, Glenn Foley, that said "The only bowl Rutgers is going to is the one I just got off of".I bet they'd love to switch programs with us now. Those fans, and Yankee fans are carbon copies of each other. So much BC apparel back then, today, not so much.

I gotta dig my way out of their depths because it's sickening. I'm done worth this arguing because the topic change when the facts are against them, the Yankees start winning, or they just want to be pricks. Its not name calling when you act like pricks BTW.

As far as the Yankees:
-Sanchez should be ROY
-Girardi should be manager of the year if they make the WC
-Good to see the Yankees go back to developing young players like they did in the early 90s. Too bad theyll go back to spending those wasteful big bucks again because their history says so.

And its too bad that thisYankee seson has also proven that their fans will only come out when they win. And when they lose, they make other people miserable AF. FACTS AGAIN, BTW!!!

Does anyone remember the time when Willie Randolph was dragged through the media for the SMALLEST thing? Yet Terry Collins STILL have a leash as long as the Mississippi!!!

Good post, although I have chosen to ignore its genesis. One clarification though. Manager of the year, like all annual MLB awards, is voted on at the end of the regular season. Postseason success is irrelevant.

Your a better man than me, giving Yankees credit with an honest appraisal. Something no Yankee fan could ever find it in their claw to do. All true what you said, but enough about them. Their dead and buried again, just fool's gold the way I see it. Too many teams to pass, that is all.

Phillies will be up for these 7 games. Its been awhile since Phils and Mets had meaningfull September games vs. each other. Howard goes out with a slam. Phils win 4 games to 3

Unfortunately, this would not suprise me one bit.

I know. But if Giradi have the Yankees in the WC game after the trades, dont know who would have done a better job in AL than him.

The Mets came into this season as overwhelming favorites in the NL East and were essentially out of the race after the Nats kicked their butts in the last series before the All-Star Break. They had a golden opportunity at locking up the wild card and got swept at home by the Braves. Two of their top three starting pitchers had season-ending surgery. What on earth do Mets fans have to talk smack about? The 2016 season has been a disaster.

Im still looking for the Mets fans on this board who "talked smack" about them being overwhelming favorites. If being excited for the upcoming season is "talking smack," then Yankee fans should be put to death for all the smack they talked during the 90s and 00s, even up until recently. Jeezus ****ing christ. Why should Yankee fans give a damm about what Mets fans have to say and what not?
