Like a win

Our OL needs to protect our QB better, too. Opposing defenses get back there too quickly. You saw that with Laviano. You didn't see it as much yesterday because Gio was doing a great job of running and avoiding the rush. But, now that we've got a QB for this system, I don't want him getting killed.

By the way, after 3 quarters, Gio had a completion percentage of 75%. When is the last time we've had a QB with those kind of numbers?

The bottom line is that Rutgers has no B1G win which puts them at the bottom of the conference.Glimpses of improvement in this game doesn't change the narrative for the remainder of this season or next year.Rutgers needs a major upgrade in talent at most positions and far better player development prior to next season.Identifying the problem areas is the easy part but finding the solutions far more difficult.

We were over 50% in converting on 3rd down, a HUGE improvement from the first 7 games. Gio, Mehringer, Goodwin and the whole offense needs to keep this kind of clutch playmaking going forward.

Im proud of the team and the effort.

Don't shout me down, you guys know I realize almost isn't good enough.

If Gio didn't loose his option to run, we win this game. To bad, what a pleasure it was to watch a real QB
Agree B1G Time. Even though we did not get the W, I was very content to watch and enjoy the last 3/4 of the game. However ,was considering my options after the 1st 1/4 .

Agree with the OP. Also have said many times that among 30,000 plus students there has to be one that can kick a damn football. We can't punt, kick off, or kick field goals or pat's & haven't been able to for years.
