Lunardi Update 1/17/23

I like that number. I'm curious with our D if it would be a better advantage for us to play a Dayton winner. They would have one day to prepare for our D and come in a little tired. On the flip side, we also would only have one day to prep foe the winner.

It’s about freakin time. Lunardi is getting closer. I think we are a 4 rn
My goal this year is to have no festering over, this is what kind of a quad win or loss along the way etc

Just how high we will be seeded for the tourney

I don’t know how geography works but would they really have #5 seed Miami in Albany and # 5 seed RU in Orlando?

I feel remiss in not knowing FDU is having a good year.

Albany arena one of smaller venues? Hate to see UConn, RU, Princeton, FDU, Maryland, competing for tix. Maybe is better if we went to Orlando.

You get favorable geography for the first weekend if you're a 1, 2, or 3 seed. Maybe if you're a 4 seed as well.

After that it's just luck of the draw to a great extent as they have to make sure they avoid regular season rematches etc.

Hypothetical example just to illustrate, let's say Maryland and Penn State both get 4 seeds in different regions and both get put in Albany. If we're a 5 seed then we're not going to Albany as well since they'll look to avoid regular season rematches in the second round.

If you want Rutgers in Albany as a 5/6/7 seed then root against all the teams in the Northeast/Mid Atlantic having better seeds than us.

Given the losses to Temple and SHU, a #5 ranking is very fair. That implies that we are one of the top 20 teams in the country. If we go 3-0 against Minnesota and Nebraska, and perform respectably otherwise, I think we will be in a good position to maintain that level of status.

Meh, both losses easily explainable.

Temple, early loss and two starters out at neutral site. It’s not like we lost at home.

SHU is the one that bothers me. But know it was the residual of Ohio State game. That gift that keeps on giving.

Orlando pod will still get plenty of Rutgers fans. If so, would be better to be in the pod that is part of the West Regional, & head out to Vegas.
One of the Greensboro pods is connected to the East Regional. That will be a fun combination as well, & MSG will be rockin’
I have lots of extra points/miles & flight credits, so holding a few one ways, including Orlando, RDU (Greensboro), Denver, & Vegas…

I don't think the first weekend sites are connected to specific regions (until Selection Sunday of course).
