Make your best 8 man rotation of players the last 5 years

Yes but elite spot up shooting in college is very hard to come by. Theres a reason he is being pursued hard by uconn, Miami and ucla. That skill set fits into any scheme.

He would see playing time on any team - for sure. That doesn’t necessarily mean he’s the clear cut best fit though for every team combination relative to the other choices. Having Caleb on D along the perimeter helped mask a lot of defensive shortcomings last year. And for most of the year we had Mag too. I’m not only talking about Cam. We haven’t seen Noah’s D yet. I think having Noah, Cam and Hyatt on the floor together next seaso. would have created a lot of holes for us (as an example). I’m not counting on Mag being available day one. Hope to be pleasantly surprised on that front.

How are so many of you leaving Spencer off of your list? He is the only one in that time who could hit threes!
From day one, Cam’s skill set reminded me of a kid who played for WVU / Alabama Beetle Bolden so I’m going to use him as an example to demonstrate my point because he was an excellent spot up shooter for Press VA at its finest (check out his first 2 season stats - Jevon Carter era - I’ve followed it closely because I see Carter as a role model for Caleb’s long term potential).

Now it’s apples and oranges to compare Cam’s career to Beetle’s because Beetle never played for a mid major and Cam has never made the NCAAs - certainly not on a deep team like those press VA rosters. I think Cam may have had similar contributions to what Beetle gave as a frosh and sophomore on a stacked defense first team. Beetle had a bad injury (I think over the summer of sophomore year or early junior season) and was never quite the same after that. The point I’m trying to make relates to Beetle’s first 2 season though.

Thanks - mainly I’m thinking of his sophomore season. Then he got hurt. You can see he only played in 18 games as a junior. WVU didn’t have a good year. He may have been hurt over the summer and then reinjured it. Then transferred out. I’m not sure but Press VA ended with that team. I always respected that defensive dynasty Huggs buiit (I take an interest in strong defensive teams and follow them) but then it failed when he didn’t have the right players to run it.

I highly doubt Cam would’ve gotten much time as a true frosh either with that deep WVU group and Huggins emphasis on defense. I’m speculating that he too would’ve been an effective role player, but not a star on the 2017-18 team. Just like Beetle was.

Anyone leaving cam or Eugene off their lists are just doing so because they’re bitter that they left
Eugene was in my list but i had to cut him to take Yeboah instead. I didn’t judge Eugene based in what he became in nba or even at Oregon after a year off. He def would have made my roster if it was 10.

So basically your saying you compared Yeboah as a senior to Eugene as a junior. Doesn’t seem that fair. I think it would have to be based on the best collegiate version of all.
