Why is he not being mentioned as a top candidate. Not only here but anywhere. Seems like a GS but only a better coach.

Schiano lite. With less personality and fire. Horrible recruiter.

you guys are being ridiculous. the guy may not be the best recruiter but he can flat out coach. you surround him with hafley type assistants, and you'd really have something. i'd sign up in an instant, if he were a possibility.

If Doug Marrone would leave the head job at his alma mater for a better offer,
he would also leave Rutgers as soon as there was a better offer.

Pass.

Yes, you would have something. You'd have the prince of darkness in a Rutgers sweatshirt. I'd rather stick my hand in a nest of cobras.

I don't want him but he is a great improvement over Golden and Christobal. Why are these 2 names even mentioned especially Golden?

“Self-centered, selfish, greedy,” was how Casullo described Marrone on ESPN Syracuse. “You’re re-shuffling an egomaniac, less than .500 coach.”

When he takes a job, he already has his plan in place for his next job,” Casullo said of Marrone.

“He is the definition of average,” said one Buffalo source.

He belittled others in the organization, sources said, and many players didn’t like him.

“It’s about power and control,” a source said. “That is what drives Doug Marrone. That’s why he is a very dangerous person to have in the building."

I think I'll pass.

Good stuff,... Pass.... Despite him outing together a helluva game plan to crush us in 2009. That was a great coaching job.... Hmmm who was his DC then? Maybe that was who was responsible for that whuupin

Ahhh.. It was their current head coach, Scott shaeffer.. Hmmm maybe he'd like a big ten program job...he has a Midwest background

I heard he said some bad things about RU when he coached at Syracuse so we can't hire him.
