This is being analyzed in multiple ways - makes Duke a top contender - a projected one-and-done which reshuffles the thinking on next year's NBA draft - and much more

interesting to note - from yesterday August 14th -

"Bagley is completing his coursework at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles this month, and the NCAA will review his transcript and decide whether to clear him to play this year. The first day of class at Duke is Aug. 28, and ESPN's Jonathan Givony reported that the NCAA's ruling will likely come within days or weeks."

... so it seems that even here on August 15th, there is still time to complete needed classes, get the grades in and have the NCAA Clearing House review & provide clearance to be an eligible member of the class of 2017
... of course it is easy to imagine that Duke might have access to an 'express check-out lane'

Duke never gets special treatment.

Coach K. told Bagley that he couldn't buy any jewelry til after his freshman year, and to keep it under $100K.

Gee, 3 high school in 3 years? Duke frosh orientation is next Tuesday and after accepting about 7% of 34,000+ applications, it just happened to have an empty spot available last night. Wow, is this student-athlete lucky or what?

Used to be a big fan, but no respect for what K has done to the Duke program in the last 7-8 years. Worse than Kentucky. At least Kentucky doesn't pretend to be a college.

Or a university .....lol

Bagley and Wendell Carter. Lord Jesus, now I have to watch some Duke games

I don't hold it against him for it.

Duke basketball is about winning National Championships which is a different dynamic from most other programs and if you

sorry got cut off

want that to happen you need to get the one and done type kid.

It's just the world of today .

Who of us wouldn't want that kid here ?

True, Irish, but you have to understand that the Rutgers fan base isn't forgetting Jason Williams any time soon.

I wouldn't. Rutgers is bigger than national championships.

Seriously, one & dones are a distraction and closer to "fools gold"

Crazy thing about the Bagley reclassification is that is has a big impact on the NBA, specifically the Brooklyn Nets. Logic follows that the Nets would've most likely had the best shot for #1-3 in 2019 and many were projecting him to the Nets. Now the Nets still probably stand a great shot at landing him in the 2018 draft, but that pick goes to the Celtics.

Nope

Traded that pick to the Cavs in the Irving trade

Celts have the Lakers pick-----if it falls lower than 5 they get the Kings pick.
