Your funny.

We are a smart family that did their research on the virus and why it isnt necessary for our children. Took the advice of my doctor and friends in the medical and scientific community and they overwhelmingly said no need for my healthy kids to get the shots. 1 friend who is a nurse did vaccinate her kids but she was the only one of the group that did. Another thought long and hard about doing it for one of his kids who at the time was overweight but decided against it when his child shed his baby fat.

What did your kids' Dr say?

He said up to us. Also, my doctor was my neighbor and his sister is a pediatrician and said not to vaccinate them.

CDC data and those i know who are in the ICU treating patients for Covid strongly suggest no need to vaccinate healthy kids.

I believe the CDC recommends kids get the shot, but I also understand many Pediatricians don't feel it's a must and leave that decision to the parents of a healthy child without recommending take or ignore.
One of the reasons given for a healthy child receiving the shot is possible health complications for some kids after they catch the virus .
But I think the percentage of post covid 19 complications in children is low
and not really considered as a reason a healthy child needs to take the shots.

6% of children under 5 are vaccinated and that number really isnt rising.

If anything, not being able to be on campus or in person in classes would hurt enrollment. This policy is not discouraging that. This thread is the same old BS from the same old agenda driven crowd. Four pages of BS over something that has little to do with games at the RAC.

oh you could see where this is headed this winter

I believe if it was like the measles or polio vaccine and gave protection for decades, more parents would have considered it. Since its like the flu shot and needs to be administered over and over again, why take it when healthy kids have almost zero chance of severe disease.

So you claimed a religious exemption that you had no right to ? What a guy.
Honesty is obviously not your forte.

I personally know at least 10 kids who got religious exemption. Thousands upon thousands are doing it. Maybe get your head out of your ass before you post.

Yes, but a great deal of transmissions occur at home. Should we mask at home? Should we be living our lives in fear over a virus that is generally not lethal to people who are somewhat healthy?

The government should provide N95's to the elderly and unhealthy and provide proper fitting for them. The government should also constantly hammer messaging to the obese that Covid is very dangerous to them.

And the government should leave everyone else alone and let us live our lives.
Transmissions occur at home because people contract covid from those who knowingly/unknowingly transmit it in public. In the home, high risk people should be wary of family members who are frequently out in public (and masks would help in those situations). Maybe they should wear masks or semi isolate at home. As for the other highlighted points, I agree and they should be implemented. But that will probably never happen. It would either take too much time and effort or it would single out certain populations which might hurt their feelings...and we can't have that, can we?
Well CDC just admitted that they made " dramatic mistakes" and are completely restructuring the agency. They are admitting to major failings about pandemic .
Shocker alert! CDC effed up? Who woulda thought? Lol!! The fact they admitted two and a half years later they had dramatic mistakes is yet another mistake because their admittance way waaaayyyy too late.

These were human doctors who graduated from medical school? Just hard to believe a physician would give the advice “not to vaccinate them” given that 96% of doctors are vaccinated themselves, CDC recommends boosters for kids and teens, AAP recommends boosters for kids and teens, etc.
You're an asshole.
Not very Christian of you

And who gives a crap other than you? What would you do with yourself if you couldn’t get pissed off over this? Funny thing is with all your complaints, you still went to all the games last year.

Yes its completely normal to wear a useless mask at a game while removing it to eat just so some people can feel better about themselves

I haven't gotten Covid.
And screw that other half that couldn't be bothered to mask up. Oh...the horrors of having to wear a mask when around others. How dare anyone expect such a monumental sacrifice.

i haven’t gotten Covid either. And I barely ever mask.

it’s not your mask’s doing that you never got Covid.

Kbee3 is the Lib King Cuck of the forum. Big time keyboard warrior. At home he sleeps and showers with a mask on. At least he has something to wipe his tears with.

"With respect to COVID-19, the BA.5 subvariant of Omicron continues to spread throughout our population in New Jersey and across the country. The good news is that the spread does not correlate to hospitalizations, intensive care unit beds, or deaths. In fact, the increased hospitalizations being reported are primarily hospitalizations with COVID-19, rather than hospitalizations for COVID-19. At Rutgers, we attribute that to the communitywide mitigation efforts we put in place over the last two years, including, but not limited to, mandatory vaccination, testing, quarantine, and contact tracing."

Lol ok
The curve and virus has done exactly as was predicted back in 2020. Everything else is theatrics and risk mitigation.

In all seriousness, when will the university get rid of the mask requirement in the classrooms? What will be the science-based trigger? Since they acknowledge that COVID is here to stay.
When the sheep stop submitting it will be over. Still a handful of freaks out in public staying far away from people and wearing masks. Some driving with masks on. They also were tinfoil hats.

It’s just a bunch of virtual signaling at this point. They want people to know they “care.” We care about you and your health. It’s the oddball driving around in their car alone with a mask on. All the sideline reporters during the NHL and NBA playoffs from ESPN masked up while there’s not a soul around. The average sensible person grounded in common sense and sound decision making has not involved Covid in their life since the new year. Most have had it some fashion moved on and no longer care. People should be more concerned about getting killed on the Audubon known as the garden state parkway or NJP these days than getting Covid and dying.
It’s okay to care but they are attacking others and the CDC has already admitted to being WRONG. Baaaah

Sports and entertainment are about getting AWAY from all this BS.
Please STOP or take it to a politics/current events board.

Never said that and the original post still has nothing to do with the RAC. Nice try at deflection though.

Same here. Same with my dad who is 84.5. We both got vaccinated but I feel it was a complete waste, to be honest, however I'm not going to get mad at others who feel differently. I sure as hell wouldn't get one today, seeing what's happened with this vaccine, that's for sure.

*** Always wore indoors when and where required (other than in Indianapolis, during the NCAA's, where I found it virtually impossible to do the entire game(s).

I don't get the driving in your own car, nobody else in it, windows down thing. I'm convinced that those people bought-in 1000% from Day 1 and will be doing it the rest of their lives. To each their own, however, I guess.

My most puzzling covid behavior sighting was this past June while doing my 8 mile jog around both runways of Randolph AFB. It is literally a road that is wide open and where you maybe run/jog past a handful of people.

I witnessed a cyclist wearing not only a mask, but also one of those plastic shields across his face…outdoors…in Texas…in June…in an open field…next to a runway.

I did not know whether to laugh or feel sad. I chose the former.

infinite eye roll…

That cyclist only cares about himself and no one else. I’d think a lot of people here admire that.

i had a talk cple weeks ago with a coworker who admittedly has a problem with it. there are so many like her, that read/listened/watched ALL of the fear porn from day 1, and really can't shake it. she has lost nobody from covid she told me. she still has rule that her kids (one in HS and one college age) wear masks in the house when outside of their bedroom, unless eating/drinking. she hasn't gone to the gym since, and still won't go maskless even when walking/jogging outside at the park. i felt terrible for her, honestly. she just started (virtual) with a counselor. she understands it's a problem and literally has a fear of being around people now. i think there are lot more of these people than you realize.

At least she’s getting help…so props to her. I feel bad for those kids, though. Living at home in basically a jail.
