Ok St takes the short trip down Route 1 from Princeton, that it wrestles Saturday night, to take on our Scarlet Knights, at the RAC, 1pm Sunday. Match to be streamed on BTN+ and Flo Wrestling.
I'm wondering since Ok St is wrestling Saturday night in Princeton, if that could impact their starting lineup. The big one of course is at 133 where Nick Suriano takes on Daton Fix.

125- Shane Metzlar vs #4 Nick Piccininni. Picc by MD, Ok St up 4-0

133- #2 Nick Suriano vs #6 Daton Fix. The feature bout. I'm giving the more rested, more experienced Nick Suriano a close, low scoring dec. Ok ST up 4-3

141- Peter Lipari vs #13 Kaid Brock. Brock by dec Ok St up 7-3

149- #2 Anthony Ashnault vs #5 Kaden Gfeller. Another awesome matchup, Ashnault by dec, Ok St up 7-6

157- #15 John Van Brill vs Andrew Shomers. JVB takes a close dec. RU up 9-7

165- Glasgow/Oliveri vs #11 Chandler Rogers. Won't matter who RU rolls out, Rogers by MD,
Ok St up 10-9

174-Joe Grello vs #5 Joe Smith. Smith by MD, Ok St up 13-9

184- #16 Nick Gravina/Scott/ Pagano vs #11 Jacobe Smith. Smith by dec Ok St up 16-9
If both Gravina and Scott are too injured, I see Smith beating Pagano by MD.

197- Matt Correnti vs #13 Dakota Geer. Big upset here , w a quickly improving Correnti winning a close dec over the soph Geer. Looking at common opponents and both wrestlers record matches, I don't see a big difference between these 2.
Ok St up 16-12

285- Christian Colucci vs #3 Derek White. White by Major Dec.

Ok St wins the match 19-12.

RU keeps it respectable and takes 4 of the 10 matchups (133, 149, 157, 197).

I like your picks however, I believe Picci techs or pins Metzlar and Rogers will tech or pin Olivieri if he wrestles. I love the way Correnti is settling in at 197. His conditioning seems much better.

Just saw Princeton wrestle hard against OK State and win 4 bouts. Princeton is the real deal. They are tough. John Smith was not happy. Not scenario we want. Ok State will be look for a much better performance tomorrow. We can't afford any lapses and must wrestled a tough 7 minutes.

Good thing is that they have to weigh in two days in a row.

Taking 4 matches from Okie State is a result I will take and run with.

Chandler Rodgers is hurt for Okie State.

RU has real chance at 133, 149, 157, 165. They need to to find one more. Abro says 197, I don’t see that one but believe it or not I think Lipari could do it at 141. Brock hasn’t wrestled well all year IMO and Lipari has shown me a lot of fight. Would be big upset and 5-5 split. Problem is bonus points RU gives up up at 174, 184 and HWT and 125. Only way RU wins is if RU takes 141 and 197 which is a tall order.

RU wins..A+
RU splits 5-5 A
RU takes 4- B
RU takes 3-C
RU takes 2 or less-F

Interesting what weight they start at. If traditional and Suriano beats Fix, the place will be rocking and Lipari has a lot of energy going into his match and sets up the next 3

Luckily it’s a cold miserable weekend here. Hopefully those southern boys didn’t pack winter clothes.

Our two horses can conceivably lose. There is a chance we get blanked. Not a high chance as I like ash to beat Gfeller, but Gfeller isn’t a slouch. My guess is 30-6

HIgh of 37 degrees in Stillwater on Sunday. $$$$

Fix looked awesome against Gomez of Princeton with a tech fall 22-7. Gfeller got handled by Kolodziak of Princeton on his feet and being ridden like a mule. I know he was undefeated but you could not tell from yesterday’s performance. We will see how both guys show up today
