Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2025 Schedule

As expected. Playing at Lehigh in Feb is never easy. Team is going to have to be ready game 1.

That will be a fun game. They are likely to win their conference so RPI will be good and they play very fast. Hope for good weather and it's going to be an up and down affair.

Season will once again come down to B1G play. Find 3 B1G wins and team will dance in May as long as they handle business in OOC.

Don't like starting the B1G schedule with two road games. Can't the conference figure out a way to just alternate home-away for six teams? Is it really that hard?

Like it, nice schedule. I also like this UMass recurring game on the schedule.

Noticed they have 4 exhibition games, back to back weekends before the season starts. Is that unusual for that many?

Yes, typically Brian likes to have two, especially with older squads.

This squad is so young. I think the more live game experience they can get the better.

I have a granddaughter at Lehigh in her senior year. Got my MA there after graduating from RU, so weather and health permitting, I hope to be there with her come February 1. Will be wearing scarlet, however!

GO RU

Cali, as we head into 2025, many student-athletes spend most or all of the Summer on campus. Is that true for lacrosse as well? College baseball, softball, and lacrosse could be so much bigger if they would move the seasons back to a start date of say mid to late April. For those who would then say it would be too hot in some regions, everyone has lights these days.Currently the fan base for 80 percent of the season are seals and polar bears.

I agree. The season should start in March and go well into June. I’ve had this argument many X with people that matter. It always falls on deaf ears. For some reason decision makers are tied to the season ending on MDW.

I do think that will change though at some point.

Some guys stay on campus, some play in box leagues in Canada, it’s a mixed bag. It’s a year long endeavor. Wherever they are they are training. One thing we don’t compromise on is fitness. Rutgers is a work program. We aren’t the only one but no one is putting in more work from the staff on down that’s for sure.
