Rutgers should be paired with MSU and either Kent St or Ga Southern in the final round. Good luck to the team.

Sooooooooooo.

Heading into the back 9, 1st Place Rutgers had a 2 stroke lead over 2nd Place Georgia Southern. From that point they went in vastly different directions and it wasn't a good one for RU.

The team shot an overall +9 on the back to fall all the way from 1st at 18 Under to 8th Place at 9 Under Their 18 hole team score of +6 was the 2nd worst round by any of the 15 teams. And that's that.

Rhett Sellers (-6) finished tied for 4th
Xavier Marcoux (-5) finished tied for 10th
Luke Wells contributed the only below par round today (-2)

Disappointing finish. Why does the team fade out in the last round? Is it conditioning?

That's a great question. It's an experienced, veteran first 4 with at least 8 years between them. They played well for 2 rounds but as you know, they often do seem to fade at the end.

Stuff happens but this was really disappointing. Play so well for 46 holes then a total team collapse the final 8 holes. May be my imagination but seems to happen way too often for both golf teams.
