Cornell jumps to #6 which is not entirely unjustified. However Syracuse, after losing to Cornell 13-8 and beating unranked UNC in overtime, stays 1 spot ahead of RU.

Still looking for that Championship mentality in RU sports. Getting close and kudos to the Lacrosse Team for their accomplishments and improvements this year. Gotta be like Villanova drilling dagger 3's. "We will not lose!"

The rankings are rather comical. We go to Maryland, the number one team and lose by one but drop three spots in the rankings. If we had won we would probably be ranked around five or four. The bottom line for us is we need to win our last two games, make the B1G tourney and then make the NCAA's. We can still do that.

Right. Which is completely flucked. Albany lost by more to one of the worst rated teams in all of D1 and dropped 1 spot.

It all makes no sense. The only way to play it is:

1) Infiltrate the committee. Brian, Pat, someone needs to get on that committee and nation build.
2) Win the conference tournament so there is no subjectivity.

Most teams move up with that performance. Lacrosse rankings are a complete joke. Syracuse ahead of us is criminal.

Last week's poll had Syracuse #7, RU #8 and Cornell #9. I could see Cornell #7, RU #8 and Syracuse #9. How Loyola jumped anyone by beating BU shows the Baltimore/ACC Mafia working overtime.

The header here in the Rivals window reads:"No.7 Rutgers falls to No.1 Maryland 11-10, Are tourney hopes squashed? So strict.

Not squashed, but the next 2 games are vital. Beat OSU and they are the B1G Tournament. Beat PSU as well and their ranking stay high, which is important for an at large bid. Win 1 in the tourney and they are almost a lock, as the B1G will send an absolute minimum of 2 teams. Lose in the first round and they are at the mercy of AQ prevarications. A Marquette win over Denver like last year, or a similar upset in another conference means they may get shut out by lower ranked AQ teams as they'll give a Denver or Albany a nod over a 3rd B1G entry.

Watched the game and we are as good as anyone in country. A couple plays made and we would have won. On to Penn State.

Just need to get in the tourney. If we could somehow get a home game you could lock us into the quarterfinals.
