There's a name from the past!
"Athletic director Craig Littlepage announced London’s resignation Sunday morning after meeting with the coach to discuss the future of the program. London is 27-46 as the head coach of the Cavaliers, including Saturday’s 23-20 loss to Virginia Tech, the 12th consecutive time the Cavaliers have lost to their in-state rivals."

"London’s contract was set to expire following the 2016 season. The University will pay him approximately $2.7 million through 2016."

See, fine academic institutions can demand excellence in athletics. But what took UVa so long?

Schiano is interviewing at Miami and soon to be UVA while Rutgers continues to debate the meaning of life

Schiano would be a good fit for UVA -- close enough to Jersey to grab some tri-state talent and a nice pipeline of talent in the Virginia Beach/Hampton area to lock up.

There was one period of time in the late 80s or early 90s when UVA had a few really good years. They haven't had much success since then. I wonder if they'll go the route of a Schiano, a young hot shot, or seek a big name. They can't be happy playing second fiddle to VA Tech for so long. With Beamer retiring, this might be a good time for them to go after someone with a big name.

If Rhule has to weigh his options between Mizzou and UVA I think he will take the UVA job. He knows the area much better.

I think they are going to push hard to land him.
