Minnesota is beatable

Just giving you all my opinion.

Minnesota is a very well coached team. There defense does NOT miss tackles. So you can't rely on big plays. You need long sustained drives.

Hills is better at QB now that Pigrome. Pigrome has some moves and is nice as a change up in the game for us, but he's just not there.

If Maryland has Hills, I think we beat Minnesota. Maryland isn't great, but we are better than Minnesota, our defense shut Minnesota's offense down. The problem was the defense was on the field the ENTIRE game. Great game plan by Minnesota, just pound the ball bore us to death, and wait for the other team to make mistakes.

I think it's a winnable game if you can get some big plays and sustain some drives, because the Minn offense is really bad, Maryland just started a freshman QB and had a bad game with penalities, we had something like 8 holding calls and had a freshman QB in 2nd and 20 and 3rd in 20 all game. That's not a good formula for success.

Thoughts on a position change in Pigrome's future? Doesn't look like he can throw the football well enough to succeed at this level.

In year 3 with two cake OOC games and Purdue crossover.

Why are you being so hard on Pitt? Seriously though, going by S&P+ Ratings Pitt is rated 38 and Temple comes in at 46. Kent State criticism is valid but they are still rated above RU.

For comparison NMSt is 125, UW is 6 and Howard is FCS so not rated.

C'mon now, this isn't your first rodeo. You know exactly why. It's called bias.

Sorry to disappoint you but PSU is in good shape going forward. I am surprised PSU is doing so well. Two of PSU's lowest rated recruiting classes ever are still on the team. In 2012 Obrien started 0 sanction recruits. In 2013 OB started 3-4. Franklin is starting 11 this year before injuries. The next two years the sanction classes graduate and PSU's talent level gets back to normal.

This thread is supposed to be about Minnesota being beatable by Rutgers. Threads do sometimes swerve, but can the Nit fans give it a rest already. You guys made your point(s) X100.

well you got your answer OP..they were beatable
Nice of you to post that, and I meant it.
The negative vibe on this board and the pissing on our "talent" is tough for me to read. I, along with others, saw signs and things in the Illinois game and the Iowa game that gave me a degree of confidence against a flawed Minnesota team. Minnesota's biggest flaw is coaching.

Moving forward, I am going to make another bold prediction. If Gio stays healthy, we will notch at least two wins in our last 4 games, and maybe 3 wins. Laugh all you want. This team is getting better as the season goes on, and they are rallying behind Gio.

And I am not despondent about next year either. We can revisit at the end of the season. Go RU!!!
