Really athletic for a center. Needs to get more minutes. I am wondering if it has taken him longer to recover from the injury and that is why his minutes have been limited until last night
His defense and passing were a pleasant surprise. It is probably a variety of things.
For one, learning to play in the concept of the offense.
Also, Gettys had had better matchups for most of our wins.
it was awesome to see Diallo last night. Hopefully it continue.

When was the last time when we had a thread calling for more playing time from the 6th person off the bench? I love this team.
Agreed. Even though Gettys was great out of conference, he'll have a tough time in B1G play. Love the kid's passion. Hopefully Sa, Diallo, or Doorson can develop and step up. They more than likely have more athletic potential than CJAgain,,,Gettys is who he is. He is the best RIGHT NOW or coach wouldnt be playing him,.
When Sa, diallio or Doorson step up,,,they will get more minutes,,,
Well....to be honest....only LFBall was calling for more playing time......lolShayle Keating
The problem with having two center types on the court at the same time is the lack of scoring which is Rutgers biggest problem.Sharing playing time and fouls on defense is a positive if used wisely and against opponents where the scoring weakness can be overcome with the 3 other players on the court. You can play Diallo and Sa together as Sa is more of a power forward than a true center
At least Rutgers has a problem. In years past Rutgers not only didn't have a problem it couldn't even ask the question.:joy:The problem with having two center types on the court at the same time is the lack of scoring which is Rutgers biggest problem.Sharing playing time and fouls on defense is a positive if used wisely and against opponents where the scoring weakness can be overcome with the 3 other players on the court.
Matchups..not rocket science.
Both will see time going forward.
More than matchups. It is mostly about who earns minutes.
Diallo has shown the staff something that has made him earn minutes. It wasn't because we were playing Delgado and Seton Hall. If the rotation becomes 11 that doesn't mean a matchup might dictate him getting more or less minutes.
It will be interesting if Pikiell goes with 5 bigs in the rotation OR Doorson and Diallo battle for the 5-10 minutes that position gets.
