Idk what the criteria is but they've had a better team and better attendance in recent years. The only question I have is how VCU is more popular in Virginia than...Virginia? And Creighton is more popular in Nebraska than...Nebraska? I don't think so. Other than that looks mostly right, just not sure about Michigan over Michigan St

Creighton and VCU have both been very good for the better part of a decade. UVa has been on and off before being very good this year. Nebraska has sucked. It wouldnt surprise me if some metrics ended up with Creighton as more popular. Alot defines how low a bar you set for fandom and popularity.

By that same logic, one would expect MSU to oust Michigan. Kind of surprised that Dartmouth beat out UNH - neither is that good, so you woudl expect the public school to get more fans (also in a more populous part of the state.)

The sad part isn't that Seton Hall is #1 in New Jersey, The sad part is that Rutgers may not be #2 or #3.
