i think I owe our previous coaches an apology. You never had a chance. Schools paying top recruits 100k and we were complaining that you couldn’t land top players. The NCAA should be ashamed. RU should sue the NCAA. Their lack of ability to control this in any way probably cost us millions as losing seasons piled up due to our inability to compete with these cheaters.

I am only kidding about the suing part. I think.

This is a surreal feeling where you grow up as a die hard sports fan, and something that everyone talked about, actually gets exposed

And then you don’t ever have to wonder why you never had a real chance

It’s like the FBI having a wiretap that the NBA suspended Jordan for a year for gambling. A lot of People believe the it, but you never expect the answer

Many of the schools cited are considered elite and would attract the top tier recruits regardless of money offers.Rutgers based on perception simply wasn't involved in recruiting high level talent. The NCAA knows the schools that attract fan interest in the arena and on tv and will enact penalties that are mere slaps on the wrist.

Many of these schools became elite by offering money to recruits. There was a time when we recruited well. It doesn’t take too much brainpower to understand that Rutgers not buying recruits put us at a significant recruiting disadvantage and then we devolved into a weaker program.

You know, it’s ironic that every time someone accused a team of cheating (in many different ways) I always doubted it. However, I realize where there is smoke there is fire. I think it’s pretty sad.
