I said going in to the season that wins and losses weren't as important as building a foundation. I still believe it.

If there is one thing I'd be real happy to see is us finish 12th or better in the conference and leap over 4 programs. It would be nice getting the 1st night of the B1G tournament off.

Provided we continue to play hard I am not going to be that upset if we don't accomplish. When I am watching non RU B1G games I am going to root against teams that we can realisticily jump.

There are 14 teams so that would mean finishing 10th, but yes that is my secret and included sure others's secret goal too

The question is whether the "jump" is a temporary one because we have a lot of upperclassmen or whether it's an overall increase in coaching and talent to get something accomplished.

I'm certain that the two recruits (Doucoure and Baker) are B1G caliber contributors as part of the process. The question is what remaining pieces can be developed into ones that can help (Doorson/Diallo) and can we develop, Thiam and Omoyuri as part of getting to 10th or 11th. Both freshman are key to this larger picture, although the truth is a shorter term approach of 6 conference wins, likely impacts recruiting for the long term.

Rutgers must win 4-6 B1G games to continue the momentum of the 11-2 out of conference record.Failure to do so will quickly change the public/media perception to one that says Rutgers early success was a fluke caused by a easy schedule.Winning matters in attracting fans at games and most importantly recruiting top tier players.

The Penn State game is a must win because its a home league game and home league games based on the schedule this season are the best chance for remaining wins.

Getting 10th is a huge number to me because as I stated before thats the soft spot in the Big 10 Tournament. 1st round bye, play the 7 seed round 2, avoid the 1 seed until the championship.
