Rutgers used to block kicks because it was part of our identity. That started with Schiano, it has nothing to do with talent but more with coaching philosophy.

We don't have those speed rushers anymore. If Grant and Turay were in there our chances to block a punt would be good. Those two guys are dinged.
Okruch doesn't believe in blocking kicks. Or blocking for a kickoff returner. Or lining up properly.
Well then we need a new special teams coach. It is maddening that this is "no longer out identity" when it's been replaced with no aggressiveness and no coverage for that matter.
