On N.J.com, article about some New Jersey high school athletic directors considering moving wrestling and football to the Spring and shuffling other sports.

Not sure how this will work considering some coaches and players go double duty. Unless they flip every sport in fall with every sport in the spring considering spring sports like baseball and volleyball have way less contact than fall sports like soccer and football.

I think it is a great plan that'll keep the kids safe and healthy while exposing talent talent to college recruiters - NJ and other states (PA) adopt it.

Winter sports would basically stay where they are except wrestling. Soccer and field hockey would go to Spring. Baseball and softball to the Fall. Fall would have cross country and track &field.

My biggest concern with that plan is that it’s entirely possible, at least in high school, that school doesn’t resume until January 2 in which case baseball/softball would lose 2 seasons.
